PERHITUNGAN KEKUATAN PADA ALAT PENGGILING KAYU GAHARU

Sejalan dengan pesatnya perkembangan dunia industri minyak atsiri nasional khususnya dalam bidang pembuatan minyak gaharu. Minyak ini dihasilkan dari proses penyulingan. Proses penyulingan adalah hasil pemisahan minyak atsiri dan bahan tanaman aromatik. Sebelum melakukan penyulingan, kayu gaharu perlu dihaluskan terlebih dahulu guna mempermudah proses distilasi. Dalam hal ini memerlukan alat yang berguna sebagai penggiling kayu gaharu. Agar alat penggiling berjalan dengan baik, perlu perhitungan kekuatan pada bagian bagian alat dengan membandingkan perhitungan tegangan geser puli, tegangan tarik pada sabuk, tegangan geser dan tegangan bengkok pada poros dan tegangan geser pada pasak. Sesuai dengan tegangan geser dan tarik izin bahan yang aman. Dari hasil perhitungan kekuatan pada alat penggiling kayu gaharu yang penulis lakukan. Didapat hasil tegangan geser dan tegangan tarik pada setiap komponen mesin tidak melebihi batas izin bahan. Maka dapat disimpulkan alat bekerja dengan baik dan aman.

As everybody knows that the development of national oil industry has advanced rapidly, especially about aloes manufacture. This kind of oil is produced from some distillation process. The process of distillation is the separation of essential oils and aromatic plant material. Before doing the distillation, aloes wood smoothed first need to simplify the process of distillation. In this case, it requires a tool that is useful as aloes wood crusher. In order the crusher goes well, it requires a calculation over every single part in that tool as well, to compare the calculation of pulley's shear stress, tensile stress on the belt, shear stress and tension on the shaft bent and shear stress on the pin, in accordance to the shear stress and tensile permit safe materials.
