HUBUNGAN ANTARA EFIKASI DIRI DAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PADA SISWA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan berpikir kritis pada siswa. Hipotesis penelitian ini yakni ada hubungan positif antara efikasi diri dengan berpikir kritis pada siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan skala berpikir kritis dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,922 dan skala efikasi diri dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,898. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 121 siswa dari kelas XI IPA di SMA Negeri 11 Yogyakarta. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment dari Pearson dan menghasilkan indikasi bahwa ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara efikasi diri dengan berpikir kritis pada siswa (r = 0,786; p < 0,01). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, hipotesis dari penelitian ini dapat diterima. Sumbangan efektif dari efikasi diri terhadap berpikir kritis pada siswa sebesar 61,7%

This study was aimed to empirically examine the correlation between self-efficacy with student critical thinking. The hypothesis stated that there is positive correlation between self-efficacy with student critical thinking. The data were collected using critical thinking scale with alpha coefficient reliability 0.922 and self-efficacy scale with alpha coefficient reliability 0.898. The subjects of this study are 121 students from grade XI (science program) of SMA Negeri 11 Yogyakarta. Product moment correlation method from Pearson was used to analyze the data of this study and the result indicates that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy with student critical thinking (r = 0.786; p < 0.01). Based on the result, the hypothesis of this study can be accepted. The effective contribution of self-efficacy to student critical thinking is about 61.7%.
