USABILITAS FITUR ACCESSIBILITY PADA SOFTWARE ANDROID ICE CREAM SANDWICH UNTUK TUNA NETRA

Komunikasi bukan hanya dibutuhkan oleh manusia normal, namun juga dibutuhkan juga oleh manusia penyandang cacat, seperti penyandang tuna netra. Seperti yang tertulis di dalam UU No 4/1997 dan Peraturan Pemerintah No 43/1998, menyatakan kesetaraan hak dan kewajiban untuk penyandang cacat. Fitur accessibility pada software operasional sistem android, adalah sebuah fitur bantu untuk konsumen tuna netra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji usabilitas dari fitur accessibility, sehingga bisa memberikan manfaat untuk perkembangan produk bagi konsumen tuna netra. Adapun handphone yang digunakan sebagai bahan pengujian adalah Lenovo A390 dengan fitur layar sentuh, dengan bantuan program Vocalizer TTS sebagai program screen reader, dan metode yang digunakan untuk menguji usabilitas software adalah dengan menggunakan metode thinking aloud. Dengan menggunakan aspek yang digunakan oleh Nielsen mengenai usabilitas. Adapun responden digolongkan menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu novice user dan casual user. Seluruh responden melakukan test yang sudah dirancang, yang mana test ini memuat kegiatan-kegiatan yang mencangkup fungsi pokok dari sebuah smartphone. Pengujian dilakukan sebanyak dua pertemuan dengan bobot pengujian yang sama pada setiap pertemuannya, adapun setiap pengujian responden mengulangi test yang diujikan sebanyak dua kali. Responden tuna berjumlah enam orang terdiri dari tiga novice user dan tiga casual user. Data yang sudah didapat dari pengujian diolah dengan metode uji-t berpasangan dan uji-t tidak berpasangan. Untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan waktu, kemudian masalah yang dikeluhkan oleh responden dikaji dengan metode pareto. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa desain yang diterapkan oleh produk tidak menunjang untuk digunakan konsumen tuna netra. Responden juga kurang bisa mengakses produk itu dengan indra perabanya. Secara garis besar bahwa produk handphone yang menggunakan layar sentuh secara keseluruhan menyebabkan beberapa masalah bagi responden tuna netra, diantaranya penggunaan fitur layar sentuh, tata letak tombol, bodi handphone yang halus dan masalah lainya. Masalah ini terjadi dikarenakan responden tuna netra tidak bisa mengakses produk dengan indra selain indra penglihatan responden.

Communication is not just for a normal people, but disability people like a blind people is need it too. Like a text in UU o. 4/1997 and Rule of Government no 43/1998, state of the equality of right and obligation for disability people. Accessibility featuresin operational system Android software is an accessibility features for blind user, so they can communicate with effective and efficiency although they have a burden. The aim of this research to test the usability from accessibility features, so it can give a benefit to develop the product for blind user. Mobile phone that use for this test is Lenovo A390 with touchscreen features, with Vocalizer TTS program as a screen reader program, and the method that used for test usability software is thinking aloud method. With use the aspect that to be used by Nielsen about usability. The respondent divided in two groups are novice user and casual user. All the respondent did the test that have been prepared, this test is about activities that include the main function from the smartphone. The test was done in two met with the same score in each met, in each test the respondent done the same test in twice. There was six blind respondent that consist of three novice user and three casual user. The data that have been collect from the test will analyst with t test paired method and t test unpaired method.To know whether there is a different time, then the problem that complained by respondent will be test with pareto method. This research show that the design that applied by product not support to used by blind user. Respondent also lack access to the product with their sense of touch. Overall that mobile phone product that use touchscreen overall caused some problem for blind user, one of them is using the touchscreen features, button layout, mobile phone body that delicate and other problem. This problem can happen because blind respondent can not access product with their sense although their vision.
