The Modified Mirror Model and Thermal Leptogenesis

Dalam skripsi ini, aspek-aspek penting mengenai mekanisme leptogenesis dalam model cermin termodifikasi telah dikaji. Secara rinci, konsep-konsep dasar mengenai model standar dan fisika neutrino telah diberikan. Teori lengkap mengenai model cermin termo difikasi dan mekanime leptogenesis juga ditelaah. Sebagai inti dari penelitian ini, pemenuhan syarat Sakharov telah dikaji. Pelanggaran bilangan baryon difasilitasi oleh proses sphaleron, pelanggaran CP didapat melalui interferensi daiagram tree level-one loop level, dan pelepasan kesetimbangan termal dipenuhi dengan mekanisme tunda. Persamaan Boltzmann yang menggambarkan evolusi dari jumlah asimetri lepton juga telah diturunkan dan digunakan untuk mendapatkan rasio baryon-to-photon.

In this thesis, we investigate various aspects of leptogenesis mechanism in the modified mirror model. Specifically, we present basic concepts of the standard model and the physics of neutrino. Complete theory of the modified mirror model is then given. We also present formal theory of leptogenesis and its current developments. As the core of this research, we study the realizations of Sakharov conditions in this model. Baryon number violating processes are facilitated by sphaleron processes, CP violation is obtained through interference of tree level-one lo op level diagrams, and departure from equilibrium condition is satisfied through the usual delayed mechanism. Finally, we derive Boltzmann equations which describe the evolution of the number of lepton asymmetry to obtain the final Baryon to photon ratio.
