Sastra Sebagai Representasi Kritik Terhadap Masyarakat Modern: Tinjauan Sosiologi Sastra Terhadap Novel Supernova Karya Dewi Lestari

Karya sastra memang lahir dari sebuah reflektif imajinatif. Namun tetap saja karya sastra tidak dapat dianggap sebagai karya yang sepenuhnya “fiktif”. Sastra selalu berakar dan senantiasa berkembang dalam sebuah konteks sosial di mana karya itu dilahirkan. Karya sastra selain hasil imajinasi, juga merupakan penghayatannya terhadap gambaran kehidupan masyarakat yang ada di sekelilingnya. Sehingga karya sastra selalu memiliki makna sosiologis. Dalam konteks tersebut penelitian ini ingin mengkaji apa makna sosial dari novel Supernova Karya Dewi Lestari Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Sosiologi Sastra strukturalisme genetik. Sosiologi sastra dipilih sebagai pendekatan penelitian ini karena kekayaan paradigma dan instrumen penggalian data dalam sosiologi sastra memberi opsi untuk membedah aspekaspek sosiologis dalam novel ini bisa berjalan maksimal. Sehingga pertanyaan penelitian ini tentang apa makna dari teks novel Supernova bisa terjawab. Adapun instrument metodologis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah hermeneutika Paul Ricoeur. Pertimbangan memilih hermeneutika Ricoeur dikarenakan metode ini memberi ruang untuk mengeksplorasi aspek makna referensial dari sebuah teks seni (sastra) dengan mengacu pada konsep -konsep sosial di luar teks itu sendiri. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa makna novel Supernova adalah teks yang bermuatan kritik-kritik terhadap masyarakat modern. Melalui alur cerita, setting narasi maupun penokohan yang disusun dalam novel, sang penulis, yakni Dewi Lestari ingin menggambarkan berbagai kritiknya terhadap kehidupan masyarakat modern. Dengan demikian teks nonel Supernova dapat menjadi instrument untuk melakukan kritik terhadap masyarakat modern.

Literary work was born out of a reflective imaginative. Still, literature can not be regarded as the work of a fully \\"fictitious\\". Literature has always been rooted and constantly evolving in a social context in which the work was born. Literary works in addition to the results of the imagination is also a picture of people's lives penghayatannya around him. That is why the novel Supernova interesting for further study as a representation of a critique of the conditions of modernity and dynamism of modern society. Supernova novel argument election as the object of research for the novel contains a critique of the phenomenon of modernity. This study uses the approach of Sociology of Literature. Sociology of literature chosen as the approach of this study because of the wealth of data mining paradigms and instruments in the sociology literature gives the option to dissect the sociological aspects of the novel can walk up. So this research question of how novel Supernova be rerepresentasi critique of modernity can be missed. The methodological instrument used in this study is Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutics. The results showed that the supernova relatively successful novel represents a critique of the paradoxes of modernity because Dewi Lestari able to build characters Diva as the main character in this novel paradigm that could bring critical of paradoxical phenomenon of modernity.
