MOTIF DAN SIKAP YANG MELATARBELAKANGI TERBENTUKNYA PERTAHANAN EGO TOKOH AKIO DALAM CERPEN AZUKI IRO NO KARUREGA KARYA KUNIMATSU TOSHIHIDE : SEBUAH ANALISIS PSIKOLOGI SASTRA Kinanti Ratiningtyas Utami Skripsi ini membahas tentang seorang anak bernama Akio, seorang tokoh utama dalam Azuki Iro no Kakurega salah satu cerpen karya Kunimatsu Toshihide. Cerpen ini menceritakan tentang seorang anak kelas lima sekolah dasar yang mencoba kabur dari rumah akibat tindakan kasar yang dilakukan ibu kepadanya. Penulisan skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap motif dan sikap yang melatarbelakangi terbentuknya pertahanan ego dalam diri Akio. Untuk menjelaskan hal tersebut, langkah awal dilakukan dengan cara membaca cerpen dalam teks asli berbahasa Jepang, kemudian menerjemahkan teks tersebut ke dalam bahasa Indonesia dan membuat sinopsis. Selanjutnya memaparkan unsur-unsur intrinsik cerpen menggunakan pendekatan strukturalisme terutama membahas tentang tema, penokohan, alur, latar dan sudut pandang, kemudian menemukan peristiwa-peristiwa dalam cerpen yang mempengaruhi psikologis tokoh utama dan mengklasifikan setiap peristiwa dalam cerpen ke dalam beberapa kegiatan psikologis yang dihadapi tokoh utama, lalu menganalisis id, ego, superego tokoh utama, motif, konflik, pertahanan ego, dan sikap tokoh utama dalam cerpen dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan psikoanalisis Sarnoff tentang sikap sosial, dan terakhir membuat kesimpulan. Dari analisis yang dilakukan ditemukan bahwa fakta cerita dalam cerpen Azuki Iro no Kakurega adalah adanya konflik antara Akio(tokoh utama) dan ibunya yang akhirnya menyebabkan Akio kabur dari rumah. Dalam cerpen ditemukan beberapa bentuk pertahanan ego yang dilakukan Akio yaitu represi dan rasionalisas. Kemudian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa, ketidakselarasan antara motif dan sikap Akio memicu timbulnya pertahanan ego. Pertahanan ego yang dilakukan Akio menurut hasil analisis terbukti lebih dipicu karena rangsangan dari dalam diri Akio.

ABSTRACT MOTIVES AND ATTITUDE BEHIND AKIO'S SELFDEFENSE IN AZUKI IRO NO KAKUREGA SHORT STORY : AN PSYCHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS Kinanti Ratiningtyas Utami This thesis discusses about a boy named Akio, a major figure in Azuki Iro no Kakurega short story written by Toshihide Kunimatsu. This short story tells about a fifth grade child who tried to run away from home due to the abusive actions committed by his mother to him. This thesis aims to uncover the motives and attitudes behind the Akio�s selfdefense. The method used is content analysis that includes four steps of analysis. The first step is to read the short story written in the original Japanese text, and then translate into Indonesian to create a synopsis. The second step is to analyze the intrinsic elements of short stories using structuralism approach concerning the theme, characterization, plot, setting and point of view. The third step is to find the events in the story that affect psychological to the main figure, and then classify the main character in the short story into some psychological activities encountered to the main character. Finally is to analyze the id, ego, superego, motives, conflicts, ego defenses, and attitudes of the main character in the short story using Sarnoff of conflict approach on social attitudes, and then write the conclusion. The result of the analysis of the main figure in this short story proved that the conflict between Akio as the main character and his mother had caused Akio to run away from home. It was also found that there were some forms of ego defense conducted by Akio namely repression and rationality. The disharmony between motives and attitudes triggered ego defense of the main figure. The ego defense of Akio was more triggered by the Akio�s inner stimulation.
