Pengaruh Program Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Klinik Mahasiswa di Skills Lab Program Studi Keperawatan Waingapu Politeknik Kesehatan Kemenkes Kupang

Untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara bimbingan tutor PAL dan persepsi di skills lab. Metode. Studi kuantitatif, randomized control trial pada mahasiswa diploma keperawatan tahun pertama ( N 94) . Tutor PAL mahasiswa tahun ke dua, 5 kelompok eksperimen dan 5 kelompok kontrol, untuk dua keterampilan dalam waktu dua minggu. Hasil Penelitian. Mean kelompok intervensi pertama 83,15 dan kelompok kontrol 78,91. Mean kelompok intervensi kedua 91,24 dan kelompok kontrol 79,79. Mann-whitney intervensi pertama 0,238 dan kedua 0,001. Mean persepsi PAL 4,45 - 4,67 dari rentang 5. Korelasi spearman persepsi pertama 0,173 dan persepsi kedua -0,265. Kesimpulan dan Saran. Nilai mahasiswa yang mengikuti PAL lebih tinggi dari yang tidak mengikuti PAL. Persepsi mahasiswa tentang PAL baik. Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut hubungan antara PAL dan gaya belajar, indeks prestasi, motivasi baik untuk tutor PAL maupun peserta.
Background. Many studies have reported efficacy of the PAL, but the application has less been done in diploma programs. Purpose. To determine differences between PAL tutor guidance and skills lab perception. Methode. Quantitative studies, randomized control trial the for first year nursing diploma students ( N 94) . Mean first intervention group was 83.15 and the control group was78.91 Mean of the second intervention group was 91.24 and the control group was 79.79. Spearman Correlation first perception was 0.173 and perception of both was -0.265. Conclusions and Recommendations. Students who attended PAL achieved higher than who did not receive PAL. Student perceptions about the PAL is good. Further research needs to be done on PAL relationships between learning styles, GPA, good motivation for PAL tutors and participants.
