FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN PERILAKU PERAWAT TENTANG KEWASPADAAN UNIVERSAL TERKAIT PEMASANGAN INFUS DI RUMAH SAKIT PKU MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA

Latar Belakang: Penyakit infeksi dan penyakit menular merupakan masalah yang masih dihadapi oleh negara-negara berkembang. Infeksi nosokomial dapat memberikan dampak buruk kepada pasien, keluarga pasien serta perawat. Salah satu jenis pelayanan kepada pasien adalah terapi Intra Vena. Pemberian terapi ini, jika diberikan dalam jangka panjang dapat menimbulkan beberapa komplikasi, salah satu diantaranya adalah phlebitis. Angka phlebitis dapat terjadi sekitar 20% sampai 70% pada pasien yang dirawat dan terpasang infus di Rumah Sakit. Kewaspadaan universal merupakan upaya pencegahan terjadinya Infeksi Nosokomial (INOS) yang harus dilakukan pada semua layanan kesehatan. Peran perawat dalam pemasangan infus, diharapkan sesuai dengan SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) sehingga dapat meminimalisir resiko timbulnya phlebitis pada pasien. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan perilaku perawat tentang kewaspadaan universal terkait pemasangan infus di Rumah Sakit PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini yaitu observasional dengan rancangan cross sectional. Cross Sectional dilakukan untuk mengetahui faktor faktor yang berhubungan dengan perilaku perawat dalam penerapan kewaspadaan universal terkait pemasangan infus di Rumah Sakit. Hasil: Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara pengetahuan dengan perilaku responden (p=0,004), tidak terdapat hubungan antara sikap dengan perilaku responden (p=0,581), tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara ketersediaan fasilitas dengan perilaku responden (p=0,127) serta terdapat hubungan antara kebijakan Rumah Sakit dengan perilaku responden (p=0,001) Kesimpulan: Faktor yang paling berhubungan dengan perilaku perawat terkait pemasangan infus adalah adalah pengetahuan dan kebijakan Rumah Sakit. Background: Infectious disease and communicable disease are problems which are faced by developing countries. Nosocomial infection may give the bad effect to patients, patient’s families and nurses. One of health service to patients is intra venous therapist. Giving this therapist in long term can affect to some complication, and one of them is phlebitis. Phlebitis rate can occur about 20% to 70% among patients that are cared and get infusion installation at hospital. Universal precautions is an effort to prevent the occurrence of nosocomial infection (INOS) which should be performed on all health services. Nurse role in infusion installation up should be match with SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). Therefore, it can prevent the occurance of phlebitis to patients. Objective: To find out factors correlating with nurse’s behavior about universal precaution related to infusion installation in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Yogyakarta. Methods: This study was observational with cross-sectional design. Cross Sectional was performed to determine factors correlating behavior of the nurses in the application of universal precautions related to the installation of infusion in hospital. Results: The results showed there was a significant relationship between knowledge and behavior of the respondents (p = 0.04), there was no significant relationship between attitudes and behavior of respondents (p = 0.581), there was no a significant relationship between the availability of facilities and the respondent's behavior (p = 0.127), and there was a significant relationship between hospital policy and respondent’s behavior (p = 0.001).
