PERBANDINGAN BESAR FRIKSI ANTARA EMPAT MACAM BRAKET STAINLESS STEEL BARU DAN DAUR ULANG

2014 | Tesis | SP ORTODONSIAProses daur ulang braket stainless steel dilakukan oleh praktisi klinis bertujuan untuk penghematan biaya daripada menggunakan braket baru. Pembakaran pada proses daur ulang menyebabkan berkurangnya daya tahan terhadap korosi dan menghasilkan kekasaran permukaan berupa pembentukan pit dan goresan-goresan pada permukaan logam sehingga berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan friksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan besar friksi antara braket stainless steel baru dan daur ulang. Penelitian menggunakan 96 braket stainless steel Roth slot 0,022†gigi incisivus atas yang terdiri dari empat macam braket (A, B, C, dan D) masing-masing 24 braket. Tiap macam braket dibagi menjadi dua kelompok (kelompok I braket baru dan kelompok II braket daur ulang). Setiap kelompok dibuat 3 set braket dimana tiap set braket terdiri dari 4 buah braket (braket gigi 11, 12, 21 dan 22) yang dilekatkan pada penggaris logam dan kawat lurus stainless steel 0,018â€x0,022†sepanjang 10 cm dipasang dan diligasi dengan power o. Besar friksi diukur menggunakan Universal Testing Machine dan data yang telah diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik Anava dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata besar friksi braket stainless steel daur ulang dengan metode pembakaran lebih besar daripada rerata besar friksi pada braket stainless steel baru dan terdapat interaksi antara empat macam braket stainless steel baru dan daur ulang. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan besar friksi sebesar 28,9% antara braket stainless steel baru dan daur ulang. The using of recycled stainless steel brackets was frequently performed by clinicians to reduce cost rather than using new stainless steel brackets. Burning process during preparation of recyled stainless steel brackets may decrease bracket’s resistance to corrosion and cause pit and scracth-like surface roughness. These two conditions may lead to increasing friction of the bracket. The Aim of this study was to investigate friction force between new and recycled stainless steel brackets. 96 Maxillary incisor Roth stainless steel brackets Slot 0.022†from four different brands were used in this study. The brackets were grouped according to the brand and type (new and recycled). The brackets were attached to metal ruler. A 10 cm 0.018“x 0.022†straight wire was placed on the brackets and then ligated with power o. Friction force was measured by Universal Testing Machine. Data from the study was analysed statistically with Two Way ANOVA. The result of this study showed that mean friction force of recycled stainless steel brackets was higher than mean friction force of new stainless steel brackets and it have interaction between new and recycled stainless steel brackets.
