SATISFACTION WITH TRAVEL SCALE (STS) BEFORE AND AFTER IMPLEMENTING OF NEW IMPROVEMENT: Case Study: Karlstadsbuss

Meningkatkan pelayanan angkutan umum dan mendukung sustainabel transportasi, Karlstad area yang merupakan salah satu kota terbesar dari 25 kota besar di swedia memperkenalkan bus baru pada summer 2013 . Bus baru bertujuan untuk meningkatkan permintaan dan mendukung transformasi dari ngguna kendaraan pribadi ke angkutan umum. Tidak hanya bus baru tetapi juga beberapa nilai yang diimplementasikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas seperti free-wifi, TV, kamera pengawas, kapasitas bus yang lebih besar. Tujuan dari tesis ini adalah menganalisa hubungan antara kepuasan terhadap kualitas yang ditawarkan pada Karlstadsbuss sebelum dan setelah penerapan buss baru. Random sampel berdasarkan subjektif data dikumpulkan sebelum (n=250) dan sesudah (n=249) penerapan kualitas baru. Metode yang digunakan adalah cross-sectional survey dengan memasukan satisfaction with travel scale model (STS). Analisis multiple regresi analisis digunakan untuk menganalisa STS. Metode ini digunakan untuk mengetahui perubahan perilaku sebelum dan sesudah improvisasi Hasil analisa menjelaskan bahwa spill-over effect menyebabkan kualitas yang diterima pada analisa post study lebih besar dari pre study. Ini dapat dilihat pada rmean data, dimana hampir semua items ditemukan significan, hasil dari STS dapat disimpulkan konstruk yang stabil dari faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan seperti kenyamanan, namun pada post study memiliki variasi hasil , dimana aksesibilitas dan mobilias mempengaruhi deactivation dan cognitive evaluasi Keywords: Satisfaction with travel scale, Perceived quality, dan Kepuasan

Supporting sustainable society and make a better public transportation, in 2013, Karlstad city, which is among 25 largest cities in Sweden presented new buss. They changed their city buss due to increase demand of public transport through people live without private vehicles. Not only new busses but they also make several improvements of the quality including free internet (Wi-Fi), buss-screen TV, surveillance camera, and the new larger-space design of buss.. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the relationship between satisfaction about overall service and service quality attributes in Karlstadsbuss before and after the implementing of quality improvement. The random sample data based on subjective response were colected in before (n= 250) and after (n=249) implemeting new improvement. The data collection method used is a repeated cross-sectional survey including questions of satisfaction with travel (STS) and satisfaction with different quality attributes. Multiple Regression Analysis is used to examine the dimension of STS. Such method is used to understand the changing behavior in before and after imlementning of quality improvement, The result reveals that the spill-over effect causing perceived quality in the post study bigger than pre study, it can be seen from the mean comparison, which almost overall rating value is founded statistically significant. Summarized the satisfaction with travel scale (STS) related to the perceived quality, the pre-study revealed a steady construct of factor affected satisfaction, i.e. comfort that lead STS dimensions. However, the post-study has variety model, where accessibility and mobility were found lead positive deactivation and cognitive evaluation..
