PERBANDINGAN BESAR MESIALISASI GIGI POSTERIOR PADA BRAKET PREADJUSTED ROTH LIGASI ELASTOMER DAN SELF LIGATING MENGGUNAKAN CLOSED COIL SPRING NiTi DAN STAINLESS STEEL (Simulasi pada Typodont)

Salah satu komponen yang digunakan untuk penutupan ruang bekas pencabutan pada tahap akhir perawatan ortodonsia adalah closed coil spring. Kawat NiTi memiliki kemampuan untuk menghasilkan kekuatan yang lebih kontinyu dibandingkan stainless steel. Braket self ligating memiliki friksi yang lebih rendah daripada braket ligasi elastomer. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mempelajari perbandingan besar mesialisasi gigi posterior antara closed coil spring NiTi dengan closed coil spring stainless steel pada braket preadjusted Roth ligasi elastomer dan braket preadjusted Roth self ligating pada simulasi typodont. Penelitian ini menggunakan 12 buah typodont, kawat busur stainless steel 0,019x0,025” dipasangkan pada kelompok braket preadjusted Roth ligasi elastomer dan kelompok braket preadjusted Roth self ligating, menggunakan closed coil spring NiTi dan closed coil spring stainless steel untuk menghasilkan gaya mesialisasi pada gigi posterior. Besar mesialisasi posterior dihitung dengan mengukur panjang kawat yang keluar dari sisi distal buccal tube. Data yang diperoleh diuji dengan Analisis Variansi 2 jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi ligasi dan closed coil spring pada semua kelompok terhadap besar mesialisasi gigi posterior menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna (p<0,05) , kecuali pada kelompok ligasi elastomer dengan closed coil NiTi dengan kelompok ligasi self ligating dengan closed coil stainless steel (p>0,05). Kombinasi braket self ligating dengan closed coil spring NiTi menghasilkan besar mesialisasi tertinggi dan braket ligasi elastomer dengan closed coil spring stainless steel terendah. One of the component used to closed the extraction space at the end of orthodontic treatment is closed coil spring.. NiTi closed coil spring is able to provide a light and continuous force, while the closed coil spring stainless steel gives great force with little activation. The use of self-ligating brackets are considered to have lower friction than elastomeric ligation bracket. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences on mesialization of posterior teeth between closed coil spring NiTi and closed coil spring stainless steel using preadjusted bracket with elastomeric ligation and self ligating bracket on typodont simulation. The study uses 12 typodont wax, stainless steel archwires 0,019 x0,025 \\" was used on 6 typodont wax with elastomeric ligation bracket and 6 typodont wax with self-ligating bracket then closed coil spring NiTi and closed coil spring stainless steel installed to produce mesialization on posterior teeth Mesialization of posterior teeth is calculated by measuring the length of the wire coming out from the distal buccal tube molars. The data obtained were tested by 2-way ANOVA. The results showed that all combination of ligation types and closed coil springs on the mesialization of the posterior teeth are statically significant (p<0,05) except , between the combination of elastomer ligation and closed coil NiTi group and the combination of selfligating and closed coil stainless steel (p>0,05). Combination of self ligating bracket with NiTi closed coil spring produce the largest mesialization of posterior teeth and the combination of elastomeric ligation bracket with stainless steel closed coil spring were the smallest.
