Background : A medical doctor does not only required his knowledges and skills in practicing his profession, but also, his personality. Therefore, a candidate medical student either should pass in selection examination and should pass on personality test Objectives:This research aims to reveals that capability of entrance selection test of academic potential and personality (MMPI- ) test in predictive an outcome of academic student achievement. Metode : Correlational study with linear regression analysis. Secondary data was used from result of selection test and academic achievement index for academic year 2011. Results : Generally, the result of analysis of MMPI-A profile to Academic achievement index were not correlations. Except, one of clinical scale was interest. Spearmant test showed too weak correlations with r-0.084 and p- 0.043. Academic potential test showed positive correlations with academic achievement index. The meaning was the more high of potential academic test, then more greater academic achievemnet index outcome. Each increased of potential academic test would reached 0.042 point of academic achievement index for students, this increasing equal with variation value at 13.2% (percentage) for potential academic test to academic achievement index. Conclusions: MMPI-A were not yet entire could be as predictor for academic achievement, instead of potential academic test.
