Skripsi berjudul Representasi Kehidupan Sosial Shaman di Kerajaan Joseon dalam Drama The Moon That Embraces The Sun Kajian Sosiologi Sastra "Haereul Phumeun Dal" merupakan penelitian yang berisi tentang kehidupan sosial para shaman dalam masyarakat Korea. The Moon That Embraces The Sun " Haereul Phumeun Dal" merupakan drama yang diangkat dari sebuah novel yang berjudul sama karya Jung Eun Gwol. Analisis dalam skripsi ini menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra milik Swingwood yang mana pendekatannya mengaju kepada kehidupan sosial masyarakat. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah dialog, serta potongan gambar, diawali dengan memahami dan menerjemahkan dialog, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan menganalisis data-data tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh shaman dalam kehidupan masyarakat Korea dalam drama. Hasil penelitian drama tersebut terungkap bahwa tokoh shaman digambarkan sebagai tempat meminta segala pertolongan oleh masyarakat Korea. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa kehidupan sosial masyarakat Korea sangat bergantung kepada shaman. Akan tetapi di luar hal itu, masih banyak masyarakat Korea yang memandang rendah terhadap shaman. Kelompok shaman yang minoritas dianggap kasta terendah dan dikucilkan. Selain hal itu, tokoh-tokoh shaman dalam drama ini banyak mengalami konflik sosial dengan tokoh lain.

The social life of shamans in Korean society is analyzed in the thesis entitled "Representation of the social life of Shaman in the Kingdom of Joseon in the Drama The Moon That Embraces The Sun "Haereul Phumeun Dal", Sociology of Literature Study". The Moon That Embraces The Sun "Haereul Phumeun Dal" is a drama adaptation of a novel of the same name by Jung Eun Gwol. Analysis on this thesis using Swingwood's sociology of literature approach, which based on social life. Research data are dialog, footage, started with understanding and translating dialog, followed with analysing the data. Goal of this research is to desribe shaman influence in Korean society life on the drama. As a result,the shaman characters in this television drama are portrayed as somebody to ask for any assistance by Koreans. It proves that the social life of the Korean community is tied to the shamans, on the other hand there are still many people who despise them. A minor group of shamans are considered the lowest caste and excommunicated. In addition to that, the shaman characters in this drama have many social conflicts with other characters.
