Perkembangan software CAD (Computer Aided Design) sangat pesat, sehingga para engineer dituntut untuk harus bisa mengikuti perkembangan teknologi CAD. Creo Parametric 2.0 adalah software CAD terbaru dengan beberapa fitur, beberapa diantaranya adalah desain animasi dan photorender. Desain animasi dapat digunakan untuk membuat konsep animasi dari komponen assembly atau komponen non-assembly, sedangkan photorender dapat digunakan untuk memvisualisasikan sebuah komponen sehingga tampak seperti asli. Hasil dari desain animasi Creo Parametric 2.0 pada mesin drill sebuah video dan gambar dengan format :MPEG dan JPEG, sedangkan hasil dari photorender Creo Parametric 2.0 pada mesin drill adalah sebuah gambar dengan format file : JPEG. Kata kunci : Creo Parametric 2.0, desain animasi, photorender.

The development of CAD software (Computer Aided Design) is very significant, so the engineers should be able to keep in the track of CAD technology. Creo Parametric 2.0 is the latest CAD software that has numerous features, amongst photorender design and animation. Design animation can be use to make the concept of animation of assemblied component or non-assembly, while photorender can be use to visualized a component so it looks real. In making the animation design and photorender, writer using part-assembly of drilling machine. The results of animation design Creo Parametric 2.0 on the drilling machine is in the form of video and image file format: MPEG and JPEG. While the output of photorender Creo Parametric 2.0 on the drilling machine is an image file format: JPEG.
