Pusat Komunitas Komik Indonesia di Yogyakarta dengan Penekanan Fleksibilitas Ruang

Perkembangan komik lokal saat ini masih belum mampu menyaingi dominasi komik asing. Untuk dapat bersaing lebih lagi, komunitas komik lokal perlu mempersiapkan diri menuju industri komik yang lebih profesional. Kelemahan yang dirasa oleh pembaca terhadap komik lokal adalah ceritanya dan formatnya yang sekali baca habis. Untuk itu diperlukan sebuah pusat komunitas yang bertindak utama sebagai kantor editorial. Sehingga dapat menjaga kualitas dan konsistensi karya yang dihasilkan. Selain itu juga sebagai jembatan pusat informasi antara komunitas dengan penerbit atau pihak produksi kreatif lain yang dapat bersinergi dengan komik. Selain itu kegiatan seperti workshop, sharing session, dan pameran yang selama ini sebagai media bertemunya komunitas dengan masyarakat masih dirasa kurang standar sehingga mengurangi kenyamanan. Serta masalah persaingan di toko buku yang didominasi komik asing menyebabkan komik lokal sering tersingkir. Untuk itu adanya fasilitas toko untuk komik lokal nantinya semoga dapat lebih mempermudah distribusi sekaligus penggerak perekonomian komunitas. Fasilitas-fasilitas tersebut akan direncanakan menjadi satu desain one-stop sehingga diperlukan penekanan pada fleksibilitas ruangnya agar nantinya bangunan dapat berfungsi dengan baik secara efektif dan efisien. Serta diharapkan dapat menyelesaikan masalah komunitas komik Indonesia, terutama masalah distribusi komik lokal kepada pembaca yang berimbas pada penjualan komik. Selain itu juga diharapkan memberi informasi yang dapat mengubah persepsi masyarakat terhadap komik serta berbagai fungsi yang diwadahi fasilitas memiliki potensi sebagai objek wisata baru khusus untuk komik lokal.

The development of local comics nowadays is still not able to compete with the dominance foreign comics. To compete even more, local comic communities need to prepare themselves into more professional comic industry. The weakness that being perceived by the reader to the local comic's story and format is because it is just one-shot. Therefore, this required a major community center acting as the editorial office. So as to maintain the quality and consistency of work generated. In addition, function as a bridge of information center between the community and the publisher or other creative production that can synergize with comics. And what is more, activities such as workshops, sharing sessions, and exhibition which to date, as a media for the community and society to meet, is still deemed less than standard, thereby reducing comfort. And the issue of competition in the comic book store that being dominated by foreign comics causing local comics often eliminated. Concequently, with the existence of bookstore facility for local comic will hopefully be able to better facilitate the distribution and as a driving force for economic growth of the community. These facilities will be planned to be a one-stop design hence the emphasis on the flexibility of the space is necessary so that later on the building can function both effectively and efficiently. It is also expected to resolve the problems of Indonesian comics community, especially Local comics distribution problem to the reader which impact on comics sales. It is also intended to provide information that may change the public perception of comics as well as a variety of functions contained by facility that has the potential as a new attraction for local comics.
