Dewasa ini, penggunaan obat tradisional dan obat yang berasal dari bahan alami semakin marak di masyarakat. Gaya hidup kembali ke alam atau back to nature yang mulai marak di masyarakat menjadikan jamu berpotensi sebagai komoditas yang menjanjikan. Hal ini diikuti dengan kembali bersemangatnya bidang industri obat tradisional terutama pada tingkat Usaha Kecil Obat Tradisional (UKOT) dan Usaha Mikro Obat Tradisional (UMOT). Untuk meningkatkan mutu dan keamanan produk dari UKOT dan UMOT tersebut perlu diterapkan Cara Pembuatan Obat Tradisional yang Baik (CPOTB). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pelaksanaan keseluruhan aspek CPOTB Tahun 2005 pada UKOT dan UMOTdi Kabupaten Sukoharjo, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang dilakukan terhadap sejumlah UKOT dan UMOT dengan kode nama A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I dan J dengan mengevaluasi tingkat penerapan aspek CPOTB pada UKOT dan UMOT tersebut. Data primer berupa hasil check list yang disusun berdasarkan uraian CPOTB dan wawancara saat observasi ke lokasi produksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan penerapan aspek CPOTB pada UKOT di Kabupaten Sukoharjo rata-rata 79,67% dengan nilai 2,31 sehingga termasuk pada kategori "cukup" dan penerapan tiga aspek CPOTB pada UMOT di Kabupaten Sukoharjo dengan rata-rata 60,25% dengan nilai 1,80 sehingga termasuk kategori "cukup"

Nowadays, the use of traditional medicine and drugs derived from natural products increasingly prevalent in society. Lifestyle of back to nature is starting to bloom in the community to make herbal medicine as a potentially promising commodity. This was followed by a re-excited field of traditional medicine industry, especially at the level of Small Business Traditional Medicine (UKOT) and Micro Business Traditional Medicine (UMOT). To improve the quality and safety of products UMOT and UKOT needs to be applied Good Manufacturing Procedure for Herbal Medicine (GMP for Herbal Medicine/ CPOTB). This study aims to determine the extent to which the implementation of all aspects of CPOTB 2005 at UKOT and UMOT in Sukoharjo, Central Java. This research is a descriptive study conducted on a number of quantitative UMOT and UKOT codenamed A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J to evaluate the level of implementation aspects CPOTB on UMOT and UKOT . The primary data of the results of the check list is compiled based on the description CPOTB current observation and interviews to the production location. The results show the application of aspects of the CPOTB on UKOT in Sukoharjo average of 79.67% with a value of 2.31 that includes the category of "enough" and the application of the three aspects of CPOTB on UMOT in Sukoharjo with an average of 60.25% with a value of 1.80 so that the category is "enough"
