PENGARUH PENYAJIAN MAKANAN ALA BENTO TERHADAP DAYA TERIMA ANAK PRASEKOLAH DI TK BINA ANAK SHOLEH YOGYAKARTA

Di TK anak diajarkan memilih makanannya sendiri untuk membentuk pola kebiasaan makan. Di sisi lain, kesulitan makan dan kebiasaan anak untuk jajan dianggap wajar oleh orang tua. Sedangkan kebiasaan jajan pada anak berdampak negatif bagi kesehatan anak seperti obesitas. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukan anak memberi persepsi baik pada makanan dengan penyajian bento. Bento cocok untuk bekal anak sekolah dikarenakan penyajian menarik dengan gizi sesuai usia anak sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya terima anak. Tujuan : penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara penyajian ala sekolah dan penyajian ala bento dengan persepsi anak serta untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan pada penyajian ala sekolah dengan penyajian ala bento terhadap daya terima anak. Metode Penelitian : penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan quasy experimental. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi karakteristik responden, data persepsi anak dan data sisa makanan menggunakan metode taksiran visual Comstock. Uji chi-square test digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi anak dengan penyajian makanan di kedua kelompok. Sedangkan uji Mann-Whitney test digunakan untuk menentukan ada tidaknya perbedaan penyajian terhadap daya terima anak di kedua kelompok. Hasil Penelitian: Persepsi memuaskan pada penyajian ala bento mencapai 62,6% (9 anak) dan pada penyajian ala sekolah adalah 25% (5 anak). Terdapat hubungan antara kedua kelompok penyajian dengan persepsi anak (p=0,012; p<0,05). Pada penyajian ala bento,ada 12 anak (92,3%) dengan daya terima baik. Pada penyajian ala sekolah, ada 8 anak (40%) dengan daya terima baik. Terdapat perbedaan di kedua kelompok penyajian terhadap daya terima anak (p=0,003; p<0,05). Kesimpulan : Ada hubungan antara penyajian ala sekolah dan penyajian ala bento dengan persepsi anak. Adanya perbedaan penyajian ala sekolah dengan penyajian ala bento terhadap daya terima anak di TK BIAS Yogyakarta. Kata kunci : Penyajian Bento, Persepsi Anak, Daya Terima Anak, Makan Siang Anak TK.
Background: every child needs quality education and optimal nutrition in their growth, therefore they can learn optimally. In kindergarten, they are taught to choose their own meals, therefore creating their meal patterns. However, irregular meal pattern and eating more snacks than their meals are considered common by their parents. Although eating more snacks for children can cause negative effect to their health as obesity. Former study conducted shows that children give good perception towards food with bento food serving. Bento food serving is suitable for children lunchbox because it has attractive serving and right nutrition following their ages, therefore it is expected to increase children acceptance. Purposes: this study aims are: (1) to know relation among school food serving and bento food serving towards children perceptions and (2) to know differentiation among school food serving and bento food serving towards children acceptance. Research Methods: this study is an experimental study with quasy experimental design. Data gathered were respondents characteristics, children perceptions and leftover using Comstock visual method. A chi-square test was used to know relation between children perceptions and food serving in two groups. While a Mann-Whitney test was used to determine the differentiation between food serving and children acceptance in two groups. Result: satisfied perception towards bento food serving is 62.6% (9 children) and school serving is 25% (5 children). There is a relation among two groups and children perceptions (p=0.012; p<0.05). For bento food serving there are 12 children (92.3%) with good acceptance. For school serving there are 8 children (40%) with good acceptance. There is found a differentiation among those two groups and children acceptance (p=0.003; p<0.005). Conclusion: there is a relation among school food serving and bento food serving towards children perceptions. There is a differentiation among school food serving and bento food serving towards children acceptance in BIAS Kindergarten, Yogyakarta.
