REMODELING FLAT BED TRAILER-70 PATRIA DENGAN PRO ENGINEER WILDFIRE 4.0

Perkembangan teknologi dalam proses desain dan kontruksi produk sudah sangat maju, desain produk tidak lagi dibuat dengan teknik manual tetapi melibatkan penggunaan software CAD (Computer Aided Design) yang canggih. Software desain yang sering digunakan dan memiliki banyak fitur adalah Pro Engineer Wildfire 4.0. Salah satu fitur Pro Engineer Wildfire 4.0 adalah desain sheetmetal. Desain sheetmetal dapat digunakan untuk membuat desain komponen sheetmetal sesuai dengan manufacturing process sheetmetal part seperti stamp, cut, bend, draw, punch, dan roll. Sebagai bahan penelitian dalam pembuatan desain sheetmetal, penulis melakukan remodeling unit alat berat jenis trailer milik PT. United Tractors Pandu Engineering, yaitu Flat Bed Trailer-70 PATRIA. Tahapan remodeling yang dilakukan adalah membuat desain part dengan melihat gambar 2D yang sudah ada, melakukan proses assembly, dan terakhir membuat detail drawing. Setelah melakukan remodeling Flat Bed Trailer-70 PATRIA dihasilkan model part dengan format file: prt, assembly model dengan format file: asm, konfigurasi file sheetmetal yang berisikan family part berupa part utama dan part bentangan, serta detail drawing dengan format file: dwg.

Technological developments in the design and product construction process is very progressive. Product design is no longer made with the manual technique but involves the use of CAD software (Computer Aided Design) which is sophisticated. Software design that often used and has many features of Pro Engineer Wildfire 4.0. One of the features of Pro Engineer Wildfire 4.0 is a sheetmetal design. The sheetmetal design can be used to make sheetmetal components design suitable with the sheetmetal parts manufacturing process such as stamp, cut, bend, draw, punch, and roll. As the material of the research in the manufacture of sheetmetal design, the authors remodeling the units of heavy equipment trailer which is belong to PT. United Tractors Pandu Engineering, that named Flat Bed Trailer-70 PATRIA. Remodeling steps that should be done is mentioned as below; make the design part by looking at existing 2D drawings, do the assembly process, and make the detail drawing. After remodeling Flatbed Trailer-70 PATRIA, it is produced model part with format file: prt, assembly model with format file: asm, sheetmetal configuration files containing family parts in main part and unbend part forms, and also detail drawings with file formats: dwg.
