Sistem Informasi Desa (SID) adalah sebuah platform teknologi informasi komunikasi untuk mendukung pengelolaan sumber daya komunitas di tingkat desa. Lisensi SID dikembangkan dalam platform sistem perangkat lunak bebas dan terbuka (free and open source software). Konsep pengelolaan sumber daya berada dalam gagasan Lumbung Komunitas yang dikelola oleh COMBINE Resource Institution (CRI). Seiring dengan penerapan SID di berbagai desa, untuk menambah fungsi dan fitur dari SID itu sendiri maka pada penyusunan proyek akhir ini ditambahkan sebuah sistem informasi atau pengumuman yang ditampilkan dalam bentuk running text dengan panel LED matrix. Dalam sistem ini menggunakan Arduino Uno R3 sebagai pengendali utama, dan ditambahkan Ethernet Shield agar Arduino dapat terhubung ke jaringan. Melalui sistem ini user/client SID dapat menuliskan informasi yang akan tersimpan di database. Informasi yang tersimpan pada database tersebut akan ditampilkan secara berurutan menjadi running text. Nantinya sistem ini dapat diimplementasikan pada desa-desa yang telah menerapkan Sistem Informasi Desa (SID).

Sistem Informasi Desa (SID) is an information and communications technology platform to support the management of community resources at the village level. SID licensing developed in free and open source software. The concept of resource management are in the idea of Lumbung Komunitas managed by COMBINE Resource Institution (CRI). Along with the application of the SID in various villages, to increase the functionality and features of the SID so in this final project added to an information system or announcements presented in the form of running text with LED matrix panel. In this system uses an Arduino Uno R3 as the main controller, and added to the Arduino Ethernet Shield can connect to the network. Through this system the user / client SID can write the information that will be stored in the database. The information stored in the database will be displayed in sequence into the running text. Later, this system can be implemented in villages that have implemented Sistem Informasi Desa (SID).
