Kondisi Sosial dan Ekonomi Tenaga Kerja PT.GE Lighting Asal Desa Tridadi Kecamatan Sleman Kabupaten Sleman

Berdirinya industri di suatu tempat akan memberikan pengaruh bagi kondisi masyarakat di sekitar lokasi industri. Dampak dari perkembangan industri menimbulkan pengaruh terhadap kondisi sosial dan kondisi ekonomi masyarakat, yang timbul disebabkan adanya aktivitas industri dari tenaga kerja. Di Padukuhan Denggung Kelurahan Tridadi Kecamatan Sleman terdapat jenis industri besar yaitu industri produksi lampu dengan nama PT GE Lighting. Industri lampu PT. GE Lighting ini memberikan pengaruh bagi masyarakat sekitar dalam hal penyerapan tenaga kerja. Selanjutnya, dalam penelitian ini dikaji karakteristik tenaga kerja, pengaruh PT. GE Lighting terhadap kondisi sosial tenaga kerja, serta kontribusi pendapatan tenaga kerja lokal terhadap pendapatan total keluarga. Metode pemilihan responden adalah metode penelitian sensus. Populasi penelitian ini adalah tenaga kerja PT. GE Lighting. Saat penelitian dilakukan tahun 2014 terdapat 35 penduduk dari 4 padukuhan di Kelurahan Tridadi, Kecamatan Sleman, Kabupaten Sleman. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan tabel frekuensi, analisis crosstab, dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan rumus kontribusi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, tenaga kerja didominasi dengan jenis kelamin laki-laki yang sebagian besarnya berpendidikan akhir SMP. Tenaga kerja memiliki status kerja yang bervariasi dimana status kerja dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang pendidikan tenaga kerja. Kondisi sosial dilihat dari tiga parameter yaitu jaminan sosial, serikat buruh, dan pelatihan kerja. Jaminan sosial yang tersedia di PT.GE Lighting adalah BPJS dan poliklinik, yang keduanya sudah berjalan sesuai dengan prosedur serta fungsinya. Adanya jaminan sosial ini dirasa sangat bermanfat bagi peningkatan kualitas hidup tenaga kerja. Serikat buruh yang ada di PT.GE Lighting adalah SPUK (Serikat Pekerja Unit Kerja). SPUK telah menjalankan fungsinya sebagai penyalur aspirasi baik dari pekerja maupun dari perusahaan, terbukti dari adanya peran aktif dalam menampung aspirasi, merespon serta menyampaikannya hingga dapat terealisasikan, namun masih kurang dalam hal memperjuangkan hak tenaga kerja. Selanjutnya, pelatihan tenaga kerja yang dilakukan adalah pelatihan kerja di awal masuk kerja terdiri dari pelatihan manajemen dan pelatihan ketrampilan. Kondisi ekonomi diukur dari kontribusi pendapatan industri PT.GE Lighting terhadap total pendapatan keluarga tenaga kerja. Hasil dari penelitian, kontribusi pendapatan tenaga kerja mendominasi dari pendapatan total keluarga. Dari keseluruhan responden, sebagian besar memiliki kontribusi pendapatan yang besar dalam total pendapatan keluarga. Hal tersebut dapat diartikan bahwa pekerjaan tenaga kerja di PT.GE Lighting ini merupakan pendapatan utama bagi kehidupan tenaga kerja di Desa Tridadi Sleman.

Industrial activity gives a change or an influence to the society surrounding the area. The impact of industrial development affects the social and economic conditions of the society, which is caused by the labours industrial activity. Padukuhan Denggung Tridadi Village of Sleman District has a big industry of lamp. It is manufactured at PT GE Lighting. PT GE Lighting lamp manufacturer employs people who lives nearby from the industrial site. This gives great employment opportunities to the people around the area. Short distance to the work place is a good thing for labourers. And so this research is to examine how the industrial activity of PT GE Lighting affects the social and economic conditions of labours. Respondent selection method is a method of census research. The respondents are the labours of PT.GE Lighting. During the research in 2014 there were 35 residents of 4 Padukuhan, Tridadi village, Sleman district of Sleman regency. Data analysis used in this research are frequency tabel, crosstab analysis,and quantitative descriptive analysis with contribution formula. Based on the result of the research, labours are dominated by men that most of them being junior high student. Work position are given to the respondents based on their last education. Their social condition judged from three parameter which are insurances, union of labours, and training. There are two insurances in PT. GE Lighting which are BPJS and polyclinic. Both have been going according procedure and function. This insurances surely affects the welfare of the labours to the betterment. Union of labourer in PT.GE Lighting is called SPUK (Serikat Pekerja Unit Kerja). SPUK has been doing its function as the voice of the labourers and the company itself. It is proved by how SPUK has been collecting aspirations, responding, and then submit it to be realized, but still lack in defend the labour rights. And the labour training that has been conducted is the job training for the new workers which consist of management training and skill training. The ekonomic conditions are measured from the contribution of the labours income to the local labourers family income. The results of the study shows that the contribution of labours income dominates the family's total income. Of the total respondents, most have a great contribution in the family's total income. It can be interpreted that the employment of local labour in PT.GE Lighting is considered as the main income for the laboursin the Sleman Tridadi Village.
