PENURUNAN CYCLE TIME PROSES GRINDING PP 60221 DENGAN CARA MENGUBAH LAYOUT MESIN GRINDING

INTISARI PT. Aisin Takaoka Indonesia adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang casting dan manufacturing. Perusahaan selalu melakukan continuous improvement seiring dengan tuntutan customer untuk memenuhi permintaan kapasitas produksi. Salah satu improvement yang dilakukan adalah meningkatkan kapsitas produksi di line produksi ACE finishing. Hal tersebut dicapai dengan menurunkan cycle time pada proses grinding. Cycle time diturunkan dengan melakukan improvement terhadap man power dan layout mesin yang digunakan. Improvement yang dilakukan antara lain dengan mengatur urutan proses kerja operator dan dengan memindahkan proses produksi ke layout mesin grinding yang lebih efektif. Hasil dari improvement adalah penurunan cycle time proses produksi 1st grinding dari 41 detik menjadi 29 detik, berkurang sebesar 12 detik. Penurunan cycle time tersebut meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dari 88 pcs/jam menjadi 116 pcs/jam serta penurunan biaya produksi dari Rp.12.753.760/bulan menjadi Rp.9.020.952/bulan, berkurang sebesar Rp.3.732.807/bulan. ABSTRACT PT. Aisin Takaoka Indonesia is a company engaged in the field of casting and manufacturing. The company always make continuous improvement in line with customer demands to meet the demand of production capacity. One improvement that is done is to increase production capacity in ACE production line finishing. This is achieved by reducing the cycle time in the grinding process. Cycle time decrease do improvement by man power and the improvement of the machine layout used. Improvement is done for example by arranging the order of the operator and the process of transferring the production process layout to a more effective grinding machine. Results of the improvement is reduction in the production process cycle time 1st grinding of 41 seconds to 29 seconds, was reduced by 12 seconds. The decrease in cycle time, increase the production capacity of 88 pcs/hour to 116 pcs/hour and a decrease in the cost of production of Rp.12.753.760/month to Rp.9.020.952/month, reduced by Rp.3.732.807/month.
