Konsep Kekuasaan dalam Film The Godfather Ditinjau dari Konsep kekuasaan Hannah Arendt

Intisari Analisa filosofis, kini dapat diperoleh melalui analisis terhadap film. Film pada kasus tertentu sangat membantu memberi gambaran atas persoalan filosofis yang umum atau abstrak. Film The Godfather yang menerima banyak pujian oleh para pengamat film memberikan beberapa gambaran konsep kekuasaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman mengenai analisis konsep kekuasaan dalam film The Godfather yang ditinjau melalui konsep kekuasaan Hannah Arendt. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yakni, Apa konsep kekuasaan menurut Hannah Arendt ? Bagaimana konsep kekuasaan dalam film The Godfather ? Bagaimana konsep kekuasaan dalam film The Godfather bila ditinjau menurut perspektif Hannah Arendt mengenai kekuasaan?. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan. Pustaka Primer yang digunakan adalah Film The Godfather karya Francis Ford Coppola dan buku On Violence serta The Human Condition karya Hannah Arendt. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sistematika reflektif untuk membahas kekuasaan sebagai salah satu fenomena kehidupan yang sentral dengan unsur deskripsi, interpretasi, kesinambungan historis dan koherensi intern. Hasil yang dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah pertama, konsep kekuasaan Hannah Arendt merupakan tujuan untuk bertindak untuk kepentingan umum politik yang berasal dari keterlibatan kolektif sejumlah aktor untuk tujuan politik bersama yang didasarkan pada pembentukan persetujuan melalui persuasi rasional. Kedua, konsep kekuasaan dalam film The Godfather merupakan kekuasaan yang digunakan sebagai keuntungan strategis dengan menggunakan kekerasan dan paksaan sebagai manifestasi dari kekuasaan tersebut. Ketiga, konsep kekuasaan seperti pada film The Godfather menjadi titik pangkal kritik arendt terhadap pereduksian makna kekuasaan yang seolah disejajarkan dengan bentuk kekerasan dan paksaan.

Abstract Philosophical analysis, can now be obtained through analysis of the film. The film is very helpful in certain cases give an impression of the philosophical issues which general or abstract. The Godfather which received much acclaim by the critics give some picture of the concept of power. This study aims to gain an understanding of the analysis of the concept of power in the film The Godfather is reviewed through Hannah Arendt's concept of power. The problem of this study namely, What is the concept of power according to Hannah Arendt? How does the concept of power in the movie The Godfather? How does the concept of power in the movie The Godfather when viewed from the perspective of Hannah Arendt on power ?. This study is a literature. Primary literature used is the movie The Godfather Francis Ford Coppola's work and the book On Violence and The Human Condition Hannah Arendt's work. This study used a systematic method to discuss the reflective power as one of the phenomena of life is central to the element of description, interpretation, historical continuity and internal coherence. The results from this study is the first, Hannah Arendt's concept of power is the aim of political action in the public interest from a number of actors for collective engagement with the political goals that are based on the formation of approval through rational persuasion. Secondly, the concept of power in the film The Godfather is the power that is used as a strategic advantage by using violence and coercion as a manifestation of the power. Third, the concept of power as in the movie The Godfather became the starting point of the reduction of the significance of Arendt's critique of power that seemed to be aligned with other forms of violence and force.
