Analisis Distres pada Wanita Infertil di Poliklinik Permata Hati RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta

Latar Belakang: Wanita menjadi fokus utama pembicaraan seputar infertilitas. Pemeriksaan, pengobatan, dan penanganan yang terus menerus membuat wanita infertil kehilangan kepercayaan diri dan perasaan serba tidak enak. Bila hal ini tidak mendapat perhatian yang serius, maka berpotensi untuk menimbulkan distres bahkan depresi. Tujuan:dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran, dan faktor distress wanita yang menghadapi masalah infertilitas yang sedang menjalani pemeriksaaan dan terapi di RSUP. Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Mixed Method dengan pendekatan Eksplanatoris sekuensial. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 wanita infertil yang memeriksakan diri di RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta pada bulan April-Mei 2014. Teknik sampling dengan cara purposive Sampling, instrumen yang digunakan: kuesioner Specific Distress Infertility oleh Miller (1998). Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji statistik chi square. Hasil: uji statistik chi square didapatkan hasil: pada analisa terapi infertil dengan distres dengan nilai p=0,919, pada analisa durasi infertil dengan distres dengan nilai =0,698, analisa sumber penyebab infertil dengan distres dengan nilai p=0,789. Sedangkan pada analisa antara umur dengan distres didapatkan nilai p=0,028. Berdasarkan hasil analisa tema dari data kualitatif responden mengungkapkan bahwa distres yang dirasakan berupa respon kehilangan yaitu rasa sedih, guilty dan kehilangan, sedangkan responden yang tidak distres mengungkapkan bahwa mereka mendapatkan kekuatan dari suami dan teman sesama pasien infertil. Kesimpulan : Tidak terdapat hubungan antara durasi infertil, sumber infertil dan terapi infertilitas dengan distres pada wanita infertil. Gambaran distres yang dirasakan wanita infertil berupa rasa sedih dan kehilangan,tetapi dengan dukungan sosial yang baik akan membuat responden bisa melalui kondisi infertilitas tanpa distres.

Background: Women become the main focus of discussion about infertility. Continuous examination, treatment, and handling make infertile women lose self-confidence and in a bad mood. If this does not get serious attention, it potentially to causes distress and even depression. The purpose of this studyh was to obtain an overview and factors for distress on women who have infertility problems and are undergoing examination and therapy at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta. Methods: This research employed mixed methods with sequential explanatory approach. The samples of the research were 30 infertile women who were undergoing medical examination at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta in April-May 2014. The sampling employed purposive technique using the instrument of Specific Distress Infertility questionnaires by Miller (1998). Bivariate analysis utilized a chi-square statistical test. Research results: The results of Chi-square statistical test indicated as follows: the analysis of infertility therapy and distress generating p value of 0.919, the analysis of the duration of infertility and distress generating p value of 0.698, analysis of the causes of infertility and distress generating p value of = 0.789. Meanwhile, the analysis of age and distress generated p value of 0.028. The results of thematic analysis of the respondents� qualitative data revealed that the distress perceived was in the form of response to loss, namely grief, guilty and loss. Meanwhile, respondents who were not in distress revealed that they drew strength from husband and fellow patients. Conclusion: There was no correlation of infertility duration, infertility causes, infertility therapy with distress on infertile women. Overview of the distress perceived by infertile women was grief and loss, but good social support will make respondents get through infertility conditions without distress.
