PENGARUH JOB ENRICHMENT TERHADAP EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT MELALUI PSYCHOLOGICAL MEANINGFULNESS SEBAGAI MEDIATOR

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sebelumnya, employee engagement mampu dimediasi oleh psychological meaningfulness yang dipengaruhi oleh job enrichment. Karyawan yang mengalami job enrichment memiliki kebermaknaan diri yang baik sehingga mempengaruhi tingkat engagementnya pula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh job enrichment terhadap employee engagement melalui psychological meaningfulness sebagai mediator. Desain penelitian yang digunakan ialah cross-sectional study pada 112 karyawan di PT. KIEC. Model analisis data yang digunakan ialah analisis regresi multiple linear. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa job enrichment mampu mempengaruhi employee engagement secara signifikan melalui psychological meaningfulness sebagai mediator. Nilai p ialah 0,000 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Nilai sig F change menunjukkan nilai < 0,05, yaitu 0,006 sehingga efek mediasi tergolong signifikan. Selain itu, efek mediasi berpengaruh lebih baik daripada efek langsung. Ada peningkatan besarnya pengaruh, yaitu 27,2% tanpa mediator menjadi 31,5% dengan mediator. Engagement is expressions which are preferred and related to task behavior, that promote connections between work and personal presence (physical, cognitive, and emotional). Based on previous research, employee engagement was mediated by psychological meaningfulness, which was influenced by job enrichment. Employee who experienced job enrichment had a good psychological meaningfulness, which also influenced their engagement level. The purpose of the study is to investigate the influence of job enrichment toward employee engagement through psychological meaningfulness as the mediator. Research design used is a cross-sectional study of 112 employees in PT. KIEC. Data is analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis. Result shows job enrichment is able to influence employee engagement significantly through psychological meaningfulness as the mediator. The p = 0,000 with significance level 0,05. The sig F change shows 0,006, which is <0,05, therefore mediation effect is significant. Mediation effect also has a better influence than the direct effect. The effect is increasing from 27,2% without mediator to 31,5% with mediator. Keywords: employee engagement, psychological meaningfulness, job enrichment
