Perubahan sistem pendidikan pada Yayasan Pendidikan dan Penyiaran Islam (YAPPI) Wonosari Gunung Kidul

Studi ini bertujuan untuk men&i dan memperoleh petit&man tentang mengapa pinpinan Yappi Wonosari cuTlun,&cfui menetapkan tmhk mengadakan perubahan sisteni pendidikan niadrasah meqadi sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK). Apa orientasi prtididikm dan kepemitnyinan yang dikenhangkan dai apa pula peqpruhiya tei-badap penin&&mi dai perkenibnngan sekolah n i e ~ i ~ ~ g d ~ kejunian tersebut. . Gma mencapai tuj~rai tersebut di &as dilalnlkan penelititin di lokasi pimnpinan Yappi dan SMK Yappi Wonosari Gmungkidul. Data dihnnpulkan dengm tehiik observavi partisipasi dan non partisipasi, wawmcara bebas, dan tern-, s e h teknik dokumentasi. Pendekatan yaag dipakan adalah sosioiogi agama dan sosiol~gi peiididikan. Unit analisisnya organisasi Yappi dengan fohis pengamatan pada imit organismi Yappi dan SMK Yappi Wonosari c;;ununakidul. Pada prinsipnya analisis penelitiai ini dengan pemahaman (interpretatif) kuditdf meskipmi dilenpkapi pula daigmi andisis kuatititatif. Prnelitian menemukm bC&wa adanya penbahan sistem pendidikm madras& kepada sistem pendidikdsekoIah menengah kejtmian itu karena: Pertanur p a mmingkatkan 5-ekuensi pengajaran daxi dakwah/penyiarm Agania Islm ymg sehelwnnya Iewat madras& huang inaksimal akibaf menwmya mind h i m 0 terhadap madras& Kedua untuk memberikan kontribusi mengatasi kemivkinan yang meianda Gunungkidul dalam bentuk memberikan bekal ketrarnpilan kerja kepada para remaja usia sekolah Iewat pendidikan fond yaitu SMK. Yappi ddam merealismikan keinginan di atas mengembangkan orientmi pendidikan : PLVT~Pp~mZgOen,i bmigan waktu dari tnateri Pendidikmi Agama Islmn dwi 2 jam menjadi 5 jamz dwi 1 amta yelajara menjadi S mats pelajarm, Kedzia pengembangan program ketermnpilan kerja dari rnateri yang tercanfum ddm knrikuluni (intrk~kuler) menjadi ditambah dengan keterampilan kerja lainnya (ekstra kurikuler) yaitu perbengkelan, la, stir mohil, komputer, dan internet. Kefigu, rnengcmbaqkm kepemimpinan demokratik, meskipun tidak nienthip kenmgkinan tetap adanya gaya kepemimpinan laissez-faire. Perubahan sistem dan orientasi petididikan serta kepemimpinan ymg dikembangkan itu temyata berpe-h terhadap peningkatan dan perkf.mbqan sekoiah menengah kejuruan Yappi Wonosari Gunungkidui, rneiiputi peningkatan halitas dm haititor; gmr~pegawo-i, sarma praswam, jwiilab siswa, dan peninV_nkatzm halitas dati hmtitm lulusan (output) ynne. sebsgimi besw dapl tertamptmg Cti cfunia kerjn Berbeda dengan SME; Perintis Piymgan yang ti&& mengembangkan psndidikan aguna Islam, ketempilan kerja drm gaya kepemimpinan dernolnatis, krnyata tidak mengalami ketnajm. -_

This research is intended to study and to get proper understanding about why the leader of Yappi Wonosari ounungkidul have made the decision to convert the reiigious education system (madras&) into vocational education sy;ystem namely Vocational bitemediate School (SMK). What the educational oriented and the leadership developed and what their influences with growing up and improvement of The Vocational Interniediute School was. To &ah tht? above goals, research wifs carried out at SMK Yappi Wonosm-i Gunungkidul and Yappi leader. Data were collected by participating and noiiparticipating observation techniques, fi-ee and structured interview, and documentation technique. The approaches applied were mligion sociology and education s o c i o b ~T. h e analysis unit was The Yappi organization, focused on the organization unit of Yappi and SMIi Yappi Wmosari Cbnmgkidul. The research andysis principally used qualitative (interpretative) understanding even though also applied qmtitattive analysis. Research found that the conversion of the religious education system into Vocational Intermedirlte School because, first, for increasing the fi-eqiiency of educational and religious prodytising for Islam, which was not previously maximized by macfrasah (religious school) because the interest decreased ofthe people on having school at rnadrmah. I%cund, to contribute eeort on overcome destitution in Gunungkidui, through formal education i.e. SMK Yappi, to realise their objective, developed three educational oriented. First, developing time and material of Islamic teaching *om 2 hours to 5 hours, fiom 1 sub-ject to 5 sub-ject; second, the development of skills work program from materid iu crmiculrtrn (inkacurricular) until die other additional skills work (extsacurriciilar) Euch as repair station, driving cars, computer and internet. Third, democratic leadership developed beside still applied laissez-faire leadership style. The conversion of system and educational orientation and the developed leadership influence quality and quantity increasing of teachers, students, teaching equipment and output (get a job). IJnIike ShE Perintis Piyungan which did not develop the education of Islam, skills work and the democratic leadership style. They could not grow up well.
