PENGARUH UMUR INDUK SAPI PERANAKAN ONGOLE DAN SIMMENTAL PERANAKAN ONGOLE TERHADAP POST PARTUM ESTRUS DI KELOMPOK TERNAK DI KECAMATAN SEYEGAN, SLEMAN, YOGYAKARTA Andriawan Bayu Kusuma Pradana 08/270289/PT/05571 INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh umur induk sapi Peranakan Ongole (PO) dan induk sapi Simmental-Peranakan Ongole (Simpo) terhadap post partum estrus pada kelompok umur yang berbeda di kelompok ternak Kecamatan Seyegan, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Sampel yang digunakan 48 ekor induk sapi yang terdiri dari 30 ekor induk sapi PO dan 18 ekor induk sapi Simpo, terbagi dalam tiga kelompok umur yang berbeda. Kelompok umur pertama, tiga sampai empat tahun; kelompok umur kedua, lima sampai enam tahun, dan kelompok umur ketiga, tujuh sampai delapan tahun; masing-masing kelompok umur terdiri dari 10 ekor induk sapi PO dan 6 ekor induk sapi Simpo. Variabel yang diamati adalah post partum estrus, profil peternak, dan pakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PPE pada ketiga kelompok umur berturut-turut adalah 96,50±13,75; 130,20±30,07; 106,30±22,36 hari dengan rata-rata 111,00±26,46 hari untuk induk sapi PO dan 104,83±24,75; 93,83±19,27; 123,50±29,22 hari dengan rata-rata 107,38±26,44 hari untuk induk sapi Simpo. Dari penelitian disimpulkan bahwa faktor umur dan bangsa sapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap post partum estrus induk-induk sapi di Kecamatan Seyegan, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Post partum estrus terbaik ditunjukkan pada kelompok umur induk sapi Simpo umur lima sampai enam tahun. (Kata kunci: Umur induk, Post partum estrus, Sapi PO, Sapi Simpo)

THE INFLUENCE OF THE AGE OF ONGOLE CROSSBREED COW AND SIMMENTAL ONGOLE CROSSBREED TO THE POST PARTUM ESTRUS IN THE FARMING COMMUNITY IN SEYEGAN SLEMAN DISTRICT IN YOGYAKARTA PROVINCE Andriawan Bayu Kusuma Pradana 08/270289/PT/05571 ABSTRACT This research is carried out with the purpose of finding the influence of the age of the Ongole crossbreed cow’s (OC) and Simmental crossbreed cow’s (SOC) to the Post partum estrus of the cow in different age groups in the farming community in Seyegan Sleman district, Yogyakarta. The sample includes 48 cows, 30 of OC and 18 of SOC. The samples were divided into 3 different age groups; the 3-4 years old, the 5-6 years old, and the 7-8 years old. Each age group consists of 10 OC and 6 SOC. The variables observed include the Post partum estrus, the farmer’s individual profile, and the feed. The post partum estrus for the three age categories are as follow: 96,50±19,75; 130,20±30,07; 106,30±22,36 days with the average 111,00±26,46 days for the OC and 104,83±24,75; 93,83±19,27; 123,50±29,22 days with the average 107,38±26,44 days for the SOC. From the research it is concluded that the age factor and breed does not influences to the post partum estrus of the cows in the farming community in Seyegan, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The best of post partum estrus is on the 5-6 years old group age of Simpo cows. (Key words: cow’s age; Sevice per conception; OC cow; SOC cow)
