KESESUAIAN ISI HEALTH STUDY CLUB SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR MAHASISWA DENGAN SOAL-SOAL UJIAN BLOK DI FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS GADJAH MADA

Latar belakang : Fakultas Kedokteran UGM (FK UGM) menerapkan metode pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang menuntut mahasiswa untuk mampu melakukan pembelajaran mandiri dan memilih sumber belajar yang tepat dan terpercaya. Salah satu sumber belajar adalah catatan kuliah. Catatan kuliah yang baik adalah catatankuliah yang mampu mengakomodasi secara akurat informasi yang diberikan oleh dosen. Health Study Club (HSC) merupakan catatan kuliah yang diorganisasi secara mandiri oleh mahasiswa FK UGM, seringkali digunakan sebagai sumber belajar utama dalam proses belajar terutama dalam menghadapi ujian blok. Oleh karena itu perlu diteliti kesesuaian isi HSC dengan soal ujian blok di FK UGM. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui kesesuaian isi HSC dengan soal-soal ujian blok di FK UGM serta untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap HSC sebagai sumber belajar di FK UGM. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui studi dokumentasi dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Dokumen yang digunakan adalah HSC dan soal ujian dari blok yang sama. Studi dokumentasi dilakukan dengan melihat kesesuaian isi, kedalaman, dan keluasan HSC degan soal-soal ujian blok. FGD dilakukan untuk mendapatkan pendalaman informasi mengenai bagaimana HSC dibuat, persepsi mahasiswa tentang keberadaan HSC dan penggunaan HSC sebagai sumber belajar. Hasil : Dari studi dokumentasi didapatkan bahwa 72% soal ujian blok dibahas dalam HSC sehingga terdapat kesesuaian isi HSC dengan ujian blok. Dari FGD ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa FK UGM menggunakan HSC dalam setiap kegiatan belajarnya. Sumber-sumber penulisan HSC pun sudah tepat. Di samping itu terdapat tim editor dan ada ralat bila terdapat kesalahan. Meskipun tidak sempat dikoreksi dosen, responden mengatakan bahwa HSC cukup valid dan reliabel untuk dijadikan sumber belajar. Kesimpulan : HSC dapat dijadikan salah satu sumber belajar mahasiswa karena sumber-sumber penulisan HSC sudah reliabel. Di samping itu terdapat kesesuaian isi HSC dan soal ujian blok dilihat dari hasil studi dokumentasi. HSC digunakan mahasiswa dalam semua kegiatan belajar mereka di FK UGM.

Background : The Faculty of Medicine Gadjah Mada University (FM GMU) has applied a Problem Base Learning (PBL) method that encourages students to able to do self learning and choose learning resources, which are valid and reliable. One of the learning resources is students’ notes. The good notes can pass on information which is given by lecturers accurately. The Health Study Club (HSC) is lectures’ notes which are organized by students of FM GMU, and is often used as the main learning resource in their learning experience, especially to face the block examination. Therefore, we want to study about the suitability between HSC and the questions of the block exam in FM GMU. Objective : to investigate the suitability between HSC and the questions of the block examination and also to explore the perceptions of students about HSC as a learning resource in FM GMU. Method : A qualitative research design was conducted in this study by using document-based study and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Data was collected from HSC and the question exams from the same block. In document-based study, we examined the content suitability, the depth, and the scope of HSC and question exams. In FGD we examined how to make HSC, perception of students about HSC and the use of HSC as a learning resource. Result : From document-based study we found that 72% question exams are discussed in HSC, so there is suitability between HSC and questions exam. From FGD we found that most students of FM GMU use HSC in every learning process. The resources of HSC were trusted. Beside that there are safeguards like editors which can see to errors timeously. Respondents said that HSC is valid and reliable enough to become a learning resource. Conclusion : HSC can be made as one of the main resources which students can learn because the resources of HSC writing are reliable. Beside that, there is a suitability between HSC and questions of block exam from the result of the document-based study. HSC is used by students in every learning process in FM GMU.
