Correlation Between Parental Acceptance Rejection with Children's Academic Achievement in SD Negeri 4 Kutoharjo Rembang Jawa Tengah

After about two thousand studies, many inspired directly by parental acceptance-rejection theory (PARTheory) described at least children everywhere need a specific form of positive response acceptance from parents and other primary caregivers. The theory is one of socialization which attempts to explain and predict major psychological, emotional and maintenance systems antecedent to parental acceptance- rejection. The aim of the research to know the correlation between parental acceptance and children academic achievement result of study. Method: This research is analytical with cross-sectional approach. This research use quantitative methode to know the corelation between parental acceptance and children academic achievement in SD Negeri 4 Kutoharjo Rembang, Jawa Tengah. Result: Parental acceptance has very low in negative results to students achievement (correlation value -0,037). The negative value means greater or good in parental acceptance so the children’s academic achievement is low. From the data analysis, the parental acceptance has low negative relation between parental acceptance and children’s academic achievement. Conclusion: There is no significant relation between parental acceptance and children’s academic achievement. The increase of the total PARQ score means the increase on the rejection scores.
