EKSPEKTASI MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN DOKTER REGULER FK UGM FASE PERTAMA MENGENAI PROFIL TUTOR IDEAL

Latar belakang : Metode pembelajaran PBL membutuhkan seorang tutor yang baik dalam tutorial agar mahasiswa dapat mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dengan baik. Adanya berbagai macam karakter tutor yang ditemui mahasiswa selama mengikuti tutorial mendasari perlu diketahuinya profil tutor yang ideal menurut mahasiswa agar dapat digunakan sebagai acuan pengembangan PBL. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui ekspektasi mahasiswa program studi pendidikan dokter reguler FK UGM fase pertama mengenai profil tutor ideal. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui diskusi kelompok terarah. Data dikumpulkan melalui transkrip dari diskusi kelompok terarah dengan 13 mahasiswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Hasil : Ekspektasi mahasiswa mengenai profil tutor ideal adalah tutor yang bisa tepat waktu, ramah, bisa membimbing dan mengarahkan tutorial, menguasai materi skenario, mengerti aturan tutorial, active listener, bisa memberi feedback dan motivasi, tidak menilai dengan saklek, memahami kemampuan mahasiswa, menguasai seven jump steps, interaktif Kesimpulan : Ekspektasi mahasiswa fase pertama terhadap profil tutor ideal adalah tutor yang disiplin, bisa membimbing, dan mengerti kemampuan mahasiswa. Background : PBL learning method needs a good tutor in tutorial so that students can achieve learning objectives effectively. Students find that there are many kinds of tutor�s character based on their tutorial experience, so an ideal profile of tutor based on student�s opinion need to be explored for a good implementation of PBL. Objective : To explore the expectation of medical students about the ideal profile of a tutor. Method : A qualitative research design was conducted in this study by using focus group discussion. Data were collected based on transcripts from the focus group discussion of 13 medical students which are divided into two groups. Result : Expectations from students for ideal tutor are tutor who is on schedule, nice, guides tutorial, understands material in scenario, knows rules in tutorial, active listener, gives feedback and motivation, not too strict in assessment, understands students ability, knows seven jump steps, and interactive. Conclusion :Students�s expectations for ideal profile of a tutor are discipline, guides students, and understands students�s competencies.
