EKSPEKTASI MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN DOKTER REGULER FK UGM FASE KEDUA MENGENAI PROFIL TUTOR IDEAL

Intisari Latar belakang : Tutorial sebagai salah satu kunci utama dalam metode pembelajaran PBL membutuhkan tutor yang baik agar tercapai tujuan pembelajarannya. Adanya pengalaman mahasiswa dengan tutor yang berbeda-beda caranya dalam memfasilitasi tutorial mendorong diadakannya penelitian untuk mengetahui profil tutor yang ideal menurut mahasiswa demi pengembangan PBL yang lebih baik. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui ekspektasi mahasiswa pendidikan dokter reguler FK UGM fase kedua mengenai profil tutor ideal. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui diskusi kelompok terarah. Data dikumpulkan melalui transkrip dari diskusi kelompok terarah dengan 13 mahasiswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Hasil : Mahasiswa mengharapkan tutor bisa memicu diskusi, tutor serius tapi santai, tutor menguasai materi, tutor membuat suasana nyaman, tutor tidak banyak intervensi, tutor paham tahap-tahap tutorial, tutor memberi umpan balik, tutor datang tepat waktu, tutor tetap mengarahkan Kesimpulan : Ekspektasi mahasiswa terhadap profil tutor ideal adalah tutor yang paham apa itu tutorial dan apa saja peran tutor sebagai fasilitator, memiliki pembawaan karakter yang menyenangkan, disiplin dalam ketepatan waktu dan tahap-tahap proses tutorial, dan menguasai materi serta fasilitasi tutorial Kata Kunci : Ekspektasi, mahasiswa pendidikan dokter, profil tutor ideal

Abstract Background : Tutorial as one of the key points in problem-based learning method needs a good tutor to ensure the achievement of learning objectives. There are variations in how tutor facilitate tutorial based on student‟s experience in tutorial therefore ideal profiles of a tutor based on student‟s expectation are need to be explored for the development of PBL in the future. Objective : to explore the expectation of medical students about the ideal profile of a tutor. Method : A qualitative research design was conducted in this study by using focus group discussion. Data were collected based on transcripts from the focus group discussion of 13 medical students which are divided into two groups. Result : Students expected a tutor that can trigger discussion, tutor who is relaxed in tutorial but also can be serious, content expert, tutor that can create a good atmosphere, tutor that doesn‟t give many interventions, tutor that understands steps of tutorial, tutor gives feedback, tutor still guides students. Conclusion : Students expected a tutor who understands tutorial and his roles as a tutor (facilitator), a tutor who has a good personality, a tutor who is discipline in tutorial including on time and keeps the steps of tutorial in order, and also a tutor who is not only a content expert but also a facilition group expert Keyword : Expectation, medical students, ideal profile of a tutor
