Peta adalah gambaran permukaan bumi pada bidang datar yang menggunakan metode, system proyeksi serta skala tertentu. Jenis peta menurut kelengkapan informasinya dibedakan menjadi dua yakni peta Tematik dan peta Topografi.Salah satu jenis peta yakni adalah Peta Situasi. Praktek Kerja Lapangan yang dilaksanakan ini adalah sebagai syarat kelulusan yang harus ditempuh dan bermanfaat sebagai penilaian untuk melihat kemampuan mahasiswa mengaplikasikan ilmu yang telah diperoleh selama masa perkuliahan. Praktek kerja lapangan kali ini akan menjelaskan tentang pembuatan peta Situasi beserta prosesnya, dari pengukuran dilapangan sampai proses pengolehan data sampai menjadi peta sebagai produk akhirnya dan pada pembuatan peta kali ini metode pengukuran yang digunakan adalah metode terestris yaitu proses pemetaan yang pengukurannya langsung dilakukan dipermukaan bumi dengan peralatan tertentu. Salah satu alat yang digunakan adalah Total Station dan alat waterpas. Total station berfungsi mengukur KKH dan waterpas instrument berfungsi untuk mengukur KKV. Produk akhir dari pekerjaan tersebut adalah peta Situasi Dusun Beluk Desa Babadan Kecamatan Bayat dengan skala 1:500 dalam bentuk hard copy dan soft copy.

Map is a picture of the earth on a flat surface that using a method, a projection system and a certain scale. Types of maps according to the completeness of the information is divided into two thematic maps and topographic map. One type of map is Situation Map. Practikal work are implemented as a graduation requirement that must be taken and useful as assessments to determine student ability to apply the knowledge that has been gained during the lectures. Practical work on this time will describes the situation along with the map-making process, from field measurements to data processing to be a map as the end product and at this time the mapping measurement method used is process of mapping the terrestrial measurements performed directly on the surface of the earth with certain equipment. One of the tools that used is the Total Station and spirit level tool. The function measures of the total station instrument is KKH and spirit level is used to measure the KKV. The final product of this work is a map situation of Beluk Hamlet Babadan Village District of Bayat with a scale of 1: 500 in the form of hard copy and soft copy.
