Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan profil candi Ganjuran yang merupakan candi untuk berdoa orang katolik. Candi tersebut menjadi salah satu daya tarik wisata bagi umat katolik. Lalu, tugas ini menjelaskan setiap ritual misa malam jumat pertama dan setiap makna yang ada. Selanjutnya tugas akhir ini juga diharapkan dapat menginformasikan kepada pembaca tentang alasan mengapa orang datang ke misa malam jumat pertama tersebut. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada deskripsi misa malam jumat pertama yang digelar di pelataran candi Ganjuran setiap bulannya. Observasi dilakukan pada bulan Maret dan April 2014. Data dari penelitian ini diambil dari buku, internet, serta wawancara. Penulis telah mengikuti dan mengamati misa malam jumat pertama. Lalu, kuisioner-kuisioner juga dibagikan untuk mengetahui alasan mengapa orang datang ke misa ini. Berdasarkan observasi langsung, kesimpulan dari Tugas Akhir ini adalah misa malam jumat pertama memiliki tema serta pemimpin yang berbeda setiap bulannya. Keunikan dari misa ini adalah turut melestarikan budaya Jawa dengan menggunakan bahasa Jawa, pakaian Jawa, dan iringan gamelan. Tak hanya itu, prosesi perarakan juga menjadi suatu hal yang ditunggu. Kemudian penulis juga mendapatkan analisa terhadap 46 responden yang mengisi kuisioner tentang enam alasan mengapa mereka datang ke misa tersebut. Sembilan puluh enam persen dari responden tersebut setuju dengan alasan kepercayaan doa mereka lebih terkabul. Penulis berharap bahwa tugas akhir ini dapat menampilkan ilustrasi tentang misa malam jumat pertama di candi Ganjuran.

This graduating paper aims to explain about the profile of Ganjuran temple which is a temple for catholic people to pray. That temple becomes one of tourism attractions for catholic people. In addition, this paper explains about every rituals in first Thursday night and its meaning. Furthermore this paper is also expected to inform the readers about the reason why people come to first Thursday night. This research focuses on the description of the rituals in the First Thursday night mass which is held in the temple’s yard every month. Observation had been done on March and April 2014. The data from this research was taken from books, internet access, and also interviews. The writer had joined the first Thursday night mass and observed it. In addition, questionnaires were also distributed to the respondents to know the reason why people come to this mass. According to the direct observation, the conclusion of this graduating paper is that first Thursday night masses have different theme and priest in its each month. The uniqueness from this mass is the commitment to preserve Javanese culture by using Javanese language, Javanese clothes, and accompaniment of gamelan. In addition, a procession also becomes something that is always waited. Then, the writer also got the analysis to 46 respondents who filled the questionnaire, there are six reasons of the congregation to join the First Thursday Night Prayer. Ninety six percent among of the respondents agreed for the belief that the prayer would be more granted. The writer hopes that this graduating paper could show an illustration about first Thursday night catholic mass in Ganjuran temple.
