PENGARUH SUHU PADA ISOLASI CAIR OLI SEPEDA MOTOR SEBAGAI MINYAK TRANSFORMATOR

Isolasi sangat diperlukan untuk memisahkan dua atau lebih penghantar listrik yang bertegangan sehingga tidak terjadi lompatan listrik atau percikan yang menyebabkan hubung singkat. Pada transformator, minyak transformator digunakan sebagai penyekat serta pendingin. Kekuatan isolasi minyak transformator dipengaruhi salah satunya oleh kontaminan yang terkandung dalam minyak tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh perubahan suhu terhadap tegangan tembusnya. Untuk mengetahui karakteristik tegangan tembus oli sepeda motor, maka diterapkan pengujian dengan tegangan tinggi AC frekuensi 50 hz dengan dengan menggunakan elektroda setengah bola – setengah bola dengan gap 2.5 mm pada suhu 30°C, 70°C dan 130°C. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa variasi suhu mempengaruhi karakteristik tegangan tembus minyak transformator. Tegangan tembus akan naik apabila suhunya naik.

On transformers, transformer oil used as insulation and cooling. Dielectric strenght of transformer oil is influenced by many factors. One of them is contaminants contained in the oil. The purpose of this research is to investigate about the influence of the change of temperature on the breakdown voltage. To know the characteristics of transformer oil breakdown voltage, then applied high voltage AC testing with a frequency of 50 hz by using the electrode with 2.5 mm gap at 30°C, 70°C and 130°C. The results showed that variations in temperature affect the characteristics of transformer oil breakdown voltage. Breakdown voltage will rising when the temperature rising and the breakdown voltage will decrease with the increasing of the temperature on the oil.
