Kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi telah mendorong manusia untuk berusaha mengatasi segala permasalaha yang timbul di sekitarnya serta meringankan pekerjaan yang ada. Salah satu teknologi yang berkembang saat ini adalah mikrokontroler. Dengan memanfaatkan mikrokontroler ini dapat diciptakan suatu alat secerdas komputer tetapi dengan biaya yang relatif lebih murah dari pada komputer. Salah satunya digunakan pada perancangan alat penjemur pakaian otomatis berbasis mikrokontroler Atmega8535 yang difungsikan sebagai tempat penjemuran pakaian otomatis. Pada perancangan alat penjemur pakaian otomatis ini selain menggunakan mikrokontroler Atmega8535 juga menggunakan sensor hujan dan RTC. Sensor hujan disini digunakan untuk mendeteksi saat hujan tiba. Apabila sensor hujan terkena air maka motor akan berputar sesuai dengan perintah yang telah diprogram ke mikrokontroller. RTC (Real Time Clock) digunakan untuk mengatur waktu agar jemuran dapat masuk sendiri sesuai dengan waktu yang telah disetting dengan menggunakan keyboard dan ditampilkan melalui LCD (Liquid Crystal Display).

The progress in science and technology has pushed human tried to solving these problems arising in the vicinity as well as lighten and reducing that work. One of the developed technology is microcontroller. By using this microcontroller can be created a tool as intelligent as computers but with the cost of the relative cheaper than a computer. One of these is used in the design of the automatic clothes-based tools basking Atmega8535 microcontroller, which functioned as an automatic clothes drying . On the design of the automatic drying clothes this tool apart from basking sharks use the ATmega8535 microcontroller also uses a rain sensor and RTC. Here the rain sensor is used to detect when the rain arrived . When the rain sensor is exposed to water then the motor will rotate in accordance with the commands that have been programmed into the microcontroller . RTC ( Real Time Clock ) is used to set the time in order to enter his own clothesline in accordance with the time be set by using the keyboard and displayed via the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). .
