Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) berupa kegiatan pemetaan situasi dan topografi yang merupakan bagian dari materi Tugas Akhir. PKL ini merupakan sarana bagi mahasiswa dalam mengaplikasikan ilmu-ilmu yang telah didapat selama perkuliahan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan-permasalahan yang sering terjadi di lapangan dengan metode terbaik guna enambah wawasan dan ilmu pengetahuan. Kegiatan yang dilakukan selama PKL ini meliputi orientasi lapangan untuk menentukan lokasi titik-titik poligon, pengukuran kerangka kontrol horisontal untuk mengetahui besarnya sudut dan jarak dari poligon tertutup yang sudah dibuat, pengukuran kerangka kontrol vertikal untuk mengetahui beda tinggi dari setiap sisi poligon dan tinggi dari masing-masing titik poligon, pengukuran detil untuk menggambarkan atau memetakan daerah yang telah ditentukan baik detil situasi ataupun detil tinggi, penggambaran peta untuk mengetahui kelengkapan detil dan kondisi topografi dan uji peta untuk menentukan apakah peta yang telah dibuat baik atau tidak. Hasil dari kegiatan PKL ini berupa peta situasi skala 1 : 500 Dusun Purwosasono, Desa Beluk, Kecamatan Bayat, Kabupaten Klaten, Jawa Tengah menggunakan sistem proyeksi Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM).

Field Work (PKL) and the situation in the form of topographic mapping activities that are part of the final project. PKL is a means for students to apply the sciences that has been gained during the course to solve the problems that often occur in the field with the best method to enambah insight and knowledge. Activities undertaken during these street vendors include orientation field to determine the location of points of the polygon, the measurement of the horizontal control framework to determine the angle and distance from a closed polygon that has been made, the measurement of vertical control framework to determine the height difference of each side of the polygon and height of each -masing point polygon, detailed measurements to describe or map a designated area either detail or high detail situations, the depiction of the map to determine the completeness of detail and topographic conditions and test the map to determine whether the maps that have been made good or not. The results of this activity in the form of street vendors situation map scale of 1: 500 Purwosasono Hamlet, Village outs, District Bayat, Klaten, Central Java using the projection system of Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM).
