KARAKTERISTIK JARINGAN JALAN HUTAN IUPHHK-HT PT. INHUTANI II UNIT PULAU LAUT, KALIMANTAN SELATAN

Jalan merupakan salah satu prasarana yang penting dalam pengelolaan hutan, khususnya pemanenan hasil hutan, sehingga perlunya Pembukaan Wilayah Hutan yang baik dengan terbentuknya jaringan jalan yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik jaringan jalan hutan dengan menghitung nilai Persen Pembukaan Wilayah Hutan (E%). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di petak 11A, 11D, 18A, 18B, 18C, 18D, 19A, 19B, 19C, dan 19 D blok VB IUPHHK-HT PT. Inhutani II Unit Pulau Laut, Kalimantan Selatan. Karakteristik jaringan jalan memiliki beberapa parameter yaitu kerapatan jalan (Road Density/RD), spasi jalan (Road Spacing/RS), jarak sarad rata-rata (Mean Skidding Distance/MSD), dan persen pembukaan wilayah hutan (E%). Metode perhitungan persen pembukaan wilayah hutan (E%) menggunakan metode matematis dengan formula Backmund (1966) yaitu menggunakan faktor koreksi jaringan jalan (Vcorr). Hasil penelitian pada jaringan jalan IUPHHK-HT PT. Inhutani II Unit Pulau Laut didapat karakteristik jaringan jalan PWH yaitu kerapatan jalan (RD) sebesar 54,8 m/Ha; jarak antar jalan atau spasi jalan (RS) sebesar 182,3 meter; jarak sarad rata-rata teoritis (MSDt) sebesar 45,6 meter; jarak sarad rata-rata terpendek yang dihitung di atas peta jaringan jalan dengan skala 1:25.000 sebesar 69,6 meter. Nilai faktor koreksi jaringan jalan sebesar 1,52 dan nilai persen pembukaan wilayah hutan (E%) sebesar 65,45% yang masuk dalam kategori cukup.

The road is one of critical infrastructure in forest management, particularly forest harvest, so there are need a good clearing of forest areas with optimal formation of the roads network. The purpose of this research to know about the characteristics of forest roads by calculated the percent clearing of forest areas (E%). This research was done at plots 11A,11D, 18A, 18B, 18C, 18D, 19A, 19B, 19C, and 19 D, block VB IUPHHK-HT PT. Inhutani II Unit Laut Island, South Kalimantan. The characteristics of forest roads has been some parameters, there are road density (RD), road spacing (RS), mean skidding distance (MSD), and percent clearing of forest areas (E%). The method of calculating percent clearing of forest areas (E%) is used mathematics method with Backmund formula (1966) that used the road correction factor. The result of road network at IUPHHK-HT PT. Inhutani II Unit Laut Island, South Kalimantan was found the characteristics of forest road , there are road road density (RD) equals 54,8 m/Ha; road spacing (RS) equals 182,3 meters; mean skidding distance theoretical (MSDt) equals 45,6 meters; mean skidding distance shortest (MSDp) that calculated over the road network map with scale 1:25.000 equals 69,6 meters. The value of correction factor equals 1,52 and the clearing of forest areas (E%) equals 65,45% that included to enough categories.
