Unsur-Unsur Intrinsik Cerpen “asy-Syafaq” dalam Antologi asy-Syaiṭānu Ya‘iẓu Karya Najīb Maḥfūẓ: Analisis Struktural

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan unsur-unsur intrinsik pada cerpen “asy-Syafaq” karya Najīb Maḥfūẓ dan keterkaitan antarunsurnya sehingga membentuk makna yang utuh. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori struktural. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis struktural yang dilakukan melalui deskriptif analisis. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa tema pada cerpen ini adalah menyibukkan diri dalam berbagai kegiatan diperlukan untuk kesehatan jasmani dan rohani, bahkan oleh orang tua sekalipun. Adapun tokoh pada cerpen ini terbagi menjadi dua, tokoh utama dan tokoh tambahan. Tokoh utama pada cerpen ini adalah Si Aku, sedangkan tokoh tambahannya adalah ayah, paman, bibi, Khālid Jalāl, Zuhaidah, seorang gadis, dan ayah seorang gadis. Cerpen ini menggunakan alur progresif sehingga mudah dipahami oleh pembaca. Latar tempat pada cerpen ini adalah di Kairo. Latar waktu dalam cerpen ini terjadi sekitar tahun 1979. Latar sosial dalam cerpen ini adalah kehidupan seorang milyuner. Judul cerpen “asy-Syafaq” dalam bahasa Indonesia dapat dipadankan dengan “Senja”. Cerita ini menggunakan sudut pandang orang pertama-utama. Unsur-unsur yang membangun dalam cerpen ini saling berkaitan satu sama lain.

This research paper attempts to investigate the intrinsic elements of Najīb Maḥfūẓ short story “asy-Syafaq” and the relevancy of its elements which shape up the true meaning. The theory used in this study is structural theory and the method is structural analysis method which done through descriptive analysis. Based on the result of the analysis, it can be seen that the theme in this short story is about keeping ourself busy in many organizations are needed for spiritual and physical health, even for old people. There are two kinds of characterization in this short story, the main character and the extras. The main character is the “Aku” and the extras are father, uncle, aunt, Khālid Jalāl, Zuhaidah, a girl, and the girl‟s father. This story uses progressive plot so that it is easy to be understood by the readers. The setting of the place is in Cairo while the setting of the time is about in 1979s. The social issue in this short story is about life a millionaire. The title of this short story “asy-Syafaq” can be translated to Indonesia as “Senja” and the and the point of view of this short story is the first person point of view. The elements that build this short story are related each other, so that it shape up the true meaning of the story.
