UNSUR-UNSUR INTRINSIK CERPEN “IKTISYĀFU AL-ALŪMUNIŪM” DALAM ANTOLOGI ‘ULBATUN MIN AṢ-ṢAFĪḤ KARYA IḤSĀN ‘ABDU AL-QUDDŪS: ANALISIS STRUKTURAL ROBERT STANTON

Penelitian ini membahas unsur-unsur instrinsik cerpen “Iktisyāfu al- Alūmuniūm” dalam antologi cerpen ʻUlbatun min aṣ-Ṣafih karya Ihsān ʻAbdu al- Quddūs. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teori struktural. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam cerpen ini adalah unsur-unsurt intrinsik yang ada di dalam cerpen serta keterkaitan antarunsurnya. Unsur-unsur instrinsik yang dibahas antaralain tema, fakta cerita yang terdiri dari karakter, alur, dan latar, serta sarana cerita yang terdiri dari judul, sudut pandang, dan simbolisme. Penelitian ini juga membahas keterkaitan antar unsur-unsur tersebut. Dengan demikian tujan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui unsur-unsur instrinsik dan keterkaitan antarunsur yang ada di dalam cerpen “Iktisyāfu al-Alūmuniūm” Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tema cerpen ini adalah penerimaan terhadap ide atau pikiran yang berbeda dengan ide atau pikiran sebelumnya yang sudah ada di masyarakat membutuhkan perjuangan dan pengorbanan. Tokoh utama yang membawa tema tersebut adalah Jamʻah ʻAbdu aṣ-Ṣamad, seorang laki-laki sebuah desa yang membawa alumunium ke desanya. Alur cerpen ini adalah alur maju. Latar tempat cerpen ini adalah desa dan kota, serta memiliki latar sosial kehidupan masyarakat yang masih tradisional sehingga sulit menerima alumunium sebagai alat rumah tangga sehari-hari. Cerpen ini diceritakan dengan sudut pandang orang ketiga tidak terbatas. Cerpen ini memiliki simbolisme berupa alumunium yang merupakan simbol ide baru atau modernitas dan tembaga yang merupakan simbol ide lama atau tradisionalitas. Masing-masing unsur intrinsik cerpen ini memiliki keterkaitan erat antar unsur, yaitu keterkaitan erat tema dengan karakter tokoh utama, keterkaitan erat tema dengan latar tempat dan latar sosial, dan keterkaitan erat tema dengan judul cerpen “Iktisyāfu al- Alūmuniūm”

The study discusses the intrinsic elements of the short story “Iktisyāfu al- Alūmuniūm” in the short story anthology of ʻUlbatun min aṣ-Ṣafih written by Ihsān ʻAbdu al-Quddūs.The theory used in this short story is a structural theory. The problem discussed in this short story is intrinsic elements that are contained in the short story and its relations. The intrinsic elements that are discussed consist of theme, fact story consisting of characters and characterizations, plot, and setting, as well as the meaning of the story’s which consists of the story's point of view and the title. The study is concluded by analyzing the relationship among the elements. The purpose of study concluded is to know the instrinsic elemnets and the relations among the elements of short story “Iktisyāfu al-Alūmuniūm”. The study concluded that the theme of this short story is to receive a new idea that differs with the idea known in society, struggle and sacrifice are required. The main character who carries the theme is named Jamʻah ʻAbdu aṣ-Ṣamad, he is a man from a village who brings an alumunium to his village. The plot of this story is straight with a background of village and city. The story has background in social life of the traditional society that rejected alumunium as their equipment. This short story is told with third person point of view. Every element in this short story has relations to each other thus forming some sort of meaning.
