This research addresses about the intrinsic elements of “al-Qad{iyyah al Akhi>rah” in the anthology story of ‘Ulbatun Min as{-S{afi>h} by Ihsa>n ‘Abdu al Quddu>s. A structural theory is used in this short story, and using the methods of structural. The discussing points in this short story are about the intrinsic elements that contained in the short story and its interconnected elements. Intrinsic elements covered the theme of the story, the fact of the story that composed of characters, plot, setting; the meaning of the story’s point of view, and the title. This research is concluded by analyzing the correlation between each element. The theme of this short story is when someone taking a decisions, he has to stick to the principle that he believes, so that no cause regret. The main character of this story is Mahmud ‘Abba>s, he was a lawyer who defended ‘Alwa>n as a poor family man. This short story run progressively, as the background of the story was in 1943, with a setting of a court, a prison, and a house. The social background of the story was the life of the poverty, so the y were not able to defense of their Justice. This story point of view is existed in the used of “I” as the main character. Each intrinsic element of this short story has the correlation with one and another, thus it can form a deeper meaning.
