Latar belakmg: Pengelolaan kesehatan perlu didukung oleh sistean surveilens yang mantap. SisteQl surveilens menyakan salah satu sumk infomasi kesehatanyang telah dikembmgkau oleh tim mamjemen kesehatan di betmapa daerah kabupaten. Peagumpulan data dengan kuesioner, wawanm, dan observasi dokumen kegiatan serta sumberdaya kesehatan lid: hasil d i s kebutuhan sumberdaya pmgeanbmgan system surveilens kabupaten yakni; subyek relatif umur produktif (>70% 4 0 tahun atau >90% 40 tahun), kuantitas dan k d 5 i panhatau epidemiologi lrurang (<10%), kemampuan mengolah data terbatas (<30%), saxma belum memadai, dana khusus surveilens belum tersedia, sistem Mmnasi Mum bsrjalan dmgan baik, peleksanaan program belum berdasahu inf& epidemiologi. Background: Health management should be supported by a solid heatth mformation system. One of health information sources developed by health mzmgmmt teams in various regency areas is a sundmce system. The newly developed survdmce system in the Health Services of Morowali Regency has not been M y organid and thus has not yet produced epidemiological idomtion to be accessed for supporting a decision making. The system development &odd be supported by information of human resources required, process, and output. The present study was conducted to observe resources (human., meam, fimding, system, program, d bfhmtim) as the available initial rtsoufces, the need in human resources and managmid decision as the basis for devebpmg a regency surveillance system. Methods: This is a case study by utilizing a survey design and analysis of health seavices and puskesmas. The descr@ive presentation was umdcd. The location in Morowali regency includes office of health services, 6 puskesmas, and 1 hospital, whereas the obsuvation unit of each research object includes 12 subjects in the health services and 38 subjects in pwkesmasmospital. scheduled interview using a structured questionnaire was conducsed and observation of activity documeats and health resources are used for data gathering purposes. kulls: The outcome of mpkements analysis shows that subjects are in relatively productive’ages (>70% <40 years or >90%, <50 years), quantity and qualification of epidemiological interest is low (<100/0), data processing ability is low (GO%), budget allocation for surveillance is not available, information system has not worked well, and the progmn has not been carried out in accordance with epidemiological information.
