PERANCANGAN SISTEM OTOMATISASI PADA MESIN GRAVITY CASTING

Di dalam dunia industri sekarang optimalisasi sangat penting dalam kegiatan produksi. Oleh karena itu SEI (System Engineering Integrator) Indonesia sebagai industri yang bergerak dibidang jasa engineering ikut serta menemukan solusi dalam permasalahan ini. Gravity Casting adalah mesin digunakan untuk proses pengecoran khususnya untuk pembuatan intake manifold dimana dalam proses pengerjaannya menggunakan proses gravitasi. Karena mesin ini bekerja untuk produk masal sehingga mesin harus beroperasi secara kontinyu dan proses produksi harus stabil. Maka dari itu mesin gravity casting harus terdapat otomatisasi dalam operasinya sehingga terdapat efisiensi dan produk yang dihasilkan lebih banyak. Sistem otomatisasi dalam mesin ini menggunakan PLC sebagai kontrol mesin ini beroperasi yang terdiri dari proses kup dan drag menutup, cairan logam masuk ke dalam cetakan (rotating process), dan terakhir kup dan drag membuka dan hasil coran keluar. Semua proses kerja ini dapat diatur waktu kerjanya dengan PLC. Hasil dari sistem otomatisasi ini sangat penting mengurangi waktu produksi dan memaksimalkan produksi dibanding dengan proses manual.

Therefor SEI Indonesia as the industry engaged in sevices engineering help provide a solution for this problem. gravity casting machine is a machine use to casting process especially for make intake manifold when the casting process using gravity process. Because the machine worked for mass product so the machine must be operated continuously and process product must be stable. And then the gravity casting must be otomatization for operating so the efficiency for working machine and the product is maximaze too. The otomatization for this machine use for PLC as controlling the machine cycle which consists of cope and drag closed process, the molten metal casting process(rotating process),the last cope and drag opened and tool was taken. All of process can be calculating with a certain time with PLC. The result otomatization is important for decrease production time and maximaze the total production compared with manual processes.
