Pengaruh suplementasi Fe dan Vitamin C terhadap prestasi belajar siswa Anemi Sekolah Dasar Kelas III-VI

Latar Belakang : prevalensi anemi kurang besi anak balita di Jawa Tengah 63,1%, sedangkan dikodya Semarang 52% dan di kecamatan Tembalang 56 % diperkirakan anemi kurang besi pada anak sekolah masih tinggi (Haisaputro, 1999). Prestasi belajar siswa SD di Kecamatan Tembalang Kodya Semarang rata-rata dibawah tujuh sebanyak 80% (Depdikbudcam Tembalang 2000). Atas dasar prevalensi anemi kurang besi pada anak sekolah masih tinggi dan rata-rata prestasi belajar siswa di bawah tujuh masih banyak, peneliti ingin mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh antara anak anemi kurang besi dengan prestasi belajar Tujuan Penelitian : Untuk mengetahuio pengaruh suplementasi sirup ferrous sulphate dan tablet vitamin C terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa anemi kurang besi dibanding suplemtasi ferrous sulphate dan plasebo Cara Penelitian : Sample berjumlah 114 siswa SD Delikrejo kelas III-VI, dengan kriteria inklusi belum menstruasi dan kadar hemoglobin di bawah 12,1 g%. Sebelum suplementasi subjek diberi obat cacing 2 tablet oksantel pirantel pamoat 125 mg, dan hasil prestasi belajar caturwulan I diteliti. Secara random subjek dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok, yaitu kelompok suplemntasi sirup ferrous sulphate 60 mg dan tablet vitamin C 250 mg(n=38). Kelompok ferrous sulphate(n=38) dan kelompok plasebo (n-38). Subjek diintervensi satu minggu sekali selama 3 bulan dari dari bulan November 2000 sampai dengan Januari 2001. Setelah suplementasi diukur tinggi badan, berat badan, kadar Hb dan hasil prestasi belajarnya caturwulan II Hasil dan Kesimpulan : prestasi belajar sebelum dan sesudah suplementasi tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna. Sesudah suplementasi kelompok ferrous sulphate dan label vitamin C mengalami peningkatan prestasi belajar lebih tinggi cukup signifikan dibanding kelompok lainnya (p=0,038). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa supplement sirup ferrous sulphate dan tablrt vitamin C dapat lebih meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dibanding suplementasi sirup ferrous sulphate tanpa kombinasi

Background ; The prevalence of children ssuffer from iron deficiency amenic is 63,1% in Central Java 52% in Semarang Municipality, and 56% Tembalang resident, and it estimated that the amount is still high for school children (Hidkputro, 1999). The study achievement of 8O% elementary school student in Tembalang resident of Semarang Municipality, on average, are under seven point (Depdikbudcam Tembalang 2000). Based on he high prevalence or iron deficiency anemic student and the average study achievement of under seven student was still high, the research wanted to know whether there was an influence of iron deficiency in anemic student on their study achievement The Goal : This research was conducted to examine the intluence of ferrous sulphate syrup and vitamin C tablets supplementation on the improvement of iron deficiency anemic student performance. The Method : The sample are 114 students grade III to VI in Delikrejo Elementary School, they had not been menace and their haemoglobin level was under 12.lg%. Before the supplementation, the subject were given 2 tablets oxscuitcl pirantel pamoate 125 mg- and their study achievement in the first four-month period of study were observed. They are divided randomly into three groups, the first is the 60 mg ferrous sulphate syrup and 250 mg titarnin C group (n-38), the second is the ferrous sulphate group (n-38), and the third is the placebo p u p (n-38). and the third is placebo group (n-38). The research gave them intervention their height, weight the haemoglobin level and their performance of the second four-month period of study were recorded. Result and Conclusion : There was no significantly difference achiement before and after supplementation. However, after the ferrous sulphate and vitamin C group showed the higher study achievement than the other groups ( p=0.038)It was concluded that thc supplementation of ferrous sulphate syrup and vitamin C could improve the student performance better than the supplementation of ferrous sulphate.
