Hotel ini salah satu hotel bintang lima, yang terletak di pusat perbelanjaan Malioboro kota Yogyakarta. Departemen purchasing adalah objek tugas akhir, merupakan bagian yang bekerja untuk pengadaan kebutuhan operasional dan material di Hotel Melia Purosani Yogyakarta. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis praktik kerja purchasing dalam pengadaan barang dan material, melalui pembuatan PO (purchase order) dan DML (daily market list) di Hotel Melia Purosani Yogyakarta. Praktik kerja Purchasing dalam tugas akhir ini dimaksudkan untuk membahas proses pembuatan administrasi pembelian, administrasi pengarsipan dan hambatan-hambatan yang di temui. Purchase order dan daily market list, menjadi tanggung jawab utama bagian purchasing dalam kegiatan kerja sehari-hari. Kemudian proses pengarsipan mendukung proses kerja sebagai bukti pertanggungjawaban dan dokumentasi. Akan tetapi proses kerja bagian purchasing masih belum luput dari hambatan-hambatan yang memperlambat pekerjaan.
This thesis was made by authors from background fieldwork practice in Melia Purosani Hotel Yogyakarta, during 3 months. This hotel is one of five star hotels located in the shopping central Malioboro, in Yogyakarta city. Purchasing department is the object of this thesis, this department task to procurement of operational goods and materials at Melia Purosani Hotel Yogyakarta. This thesis goal is, to analyze purchasing department work practice to do procurement of operational goods and materials by made PO (purchase Order) and DML (daily market list) at Melia Purosani Hotel. Purchasing work practice means to examine made process of purchase administration, archive administration, and the problems meet. Purchase order and daily market list, become the firt responsibility from the purchasing work activities every day. And then Archiving process is supporting purchasing work department for responsibility approve and documentation. Purchasing deparmetnt work process, still have some problem wich made late work processes.
