Menurut Peraturan Mahkamah Agung Republik Indonesia No. 1 Tahun 2008, semua perkara perdata harus melalui proses mediasi, maka penulis tertarik untuk mengambil judul mengenai proses mediasi. Tujuan penulisan Tugas Akhir ini adalah untuk memenuhi syarat kelulusan Program Diploma 3 Hukum Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada guna mendapatkan gelar Ahli Madya Hukum dan dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui proses mediasi dalam perkara cerai gugat di Pengadilan Agama Yogyakarta. Dengan adanya mediasi ini diharapkan proses penyelesaian perkara perdata dapat diselesaikan dengan sederhana, cepat dan biaya ringan Proses mediasi pada perkara cerai gugat di Pengadilan Agama Yogyakarta melalui tahap pra mediasi terlebih dahulu kemudian tahap mediasi. Sesuai dengan analisis kasus, proses mediasi yang ditempuh pada perkara cerai gugat di Pengadilan Agama Yogyakarta sudah berjalan sesuai dengan prosedur mediasi yang tercantum dalam PERMA RI No. 1 Tahun 2008. Under to the Indonesian Supreme Court Regulation No. 1 of 2008, all civil cases to go through the mediation process, the authors are interested to take the title of the process of mediation. The purpose of this final project is to qualify for graduation Diploma Program 3 Vocational School of Law, Gadjah Mada University in order to earn the title of Associate Expert Law and is intended to determine the process of mediation in contested divorce cases in Yogyakarta Religious Court. With the completion of the mediation process is expected to civil cases can be resolved with a simple, fast and low cost. The process of mediation in contested divorce cases in Yogyakarta Religious Court through the pre mediation first and then the mediation stage. In accordance with the analysis of the case, the mediation process adopted in contested divorce cases in Yogyakarta Religious Court has been run in accordance with the mediation procedure set forth in the Supreme Court Regulation No. 1 of 2008.
