PENDIDIKAN PERDAMAIAN: STUDI KASUS SEKOLAH SUKMA BANGSA KABUPATEN PIDIE

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti upaya membina perdamaian pasca konflik dan pasca bencana yang dilakukan oleh Sekolah Sukma Bangsa Kabupaten Pidie melalui pendidikan yang tujuan utamanya untuk menciptakan karakter-karakter yang cenderung tidak melakukan kekerasan, berdamai dan mampu meresolusi konflik sebagai salah satu perwujudan perdamaian dunia. SSB Kabupaten Pidie telah berdiri selama tujuh tahun dan didirikan sebagai respon kemanusiaan atas 30 tahun konflik dan bencana alam tsunami yang telah menghantam Aceh. Konteks Aceh di bawah bayang-bayang 30 tahun darurat militer serta bencana yang dahsyat menyebabkan anak-anak di Aceh tidak dapat bersekolah dengan baik dikarenakan bangunan sekolah yang menjadi target pengrusakan di masa konflik serta bencana memperparah keadaan yang sudah sangat memprihatinkan. Konflik dan bencana alam yang menimpa Aceh akhirnya membawa Aceh kepada peringkat terakhir di Indonesia dalam bidang pendidikan. Dan yang paling memprihatinkan lagi adalah kondisi psikologis anak-anak Aceh yang merupakan korban paling rentan di daerah konflik. Anak-anak Aceh yang terbiasa hidup di dalam lingkungan yang negatif serta kekerasan yang mewarnainya tentunya membutuhkan desain pendidikan yang berbeda dengan daerah-daerah lain di Indonesia. Urgensi pendidikan perdamaian untuk mengikis karakter yang penuh kekerasan sangat dibutuhkan sehingga SSB Pidie dengan manajemen berbasis sekolahnya melembagakan kurikulum pendidikan perdamaian yakni Manajemen Konflik Berbasis Sekolah dan program 3NO demi mewujudkan lingkungan sekolah yang positif dan damai. Dengan terjun langsung ke SSB Pidie selama satu bulan peneliti mengumpulkan data untuk meneliti kurikulum pendidikan perdamaian dan bagaimana implementasinya serta kesenjangan-kesenjangan apa saja yang terjadi. The research aims to analyze the attempt of building peace in post conflict and post disaster condition, which is implemented by Sekolah Sukma Bangsa in Pidie District through education. Its major purpose is to generate less violence and peaceful characters. Furthermore, the most important aim is to educate conflict resolution for the children as the embodiment of world peace. For seven years Sekolah Sukma Bangsa has had been educating the Pidie’s children as a humanitarian response of 30 years of military emergency and the impact of tsunami in Aceh. The situation of Aceh under the shadow of those 30 years of military emergency and traumatic event of a massive natural disaster caused children in Aceh were not able to reach education at schools because most of them had been destroyed as the targets of destruction throughout the conflict. This condition became more severe because of the natural disaster as well. Eventually, conflict and disaster made Aceh in the lowest grade in education. Furthermore, psychological condition of the children who are the most vulnerable victims became the major concern. The fact that Children in Aceh were accustomed to violence and the negative condition for 30 years obviously needed a particular design of education, which was different from other places in Indonesia. The urgency of peace education to scrape the characters of tolerating violence is urgently needed in Aceh, therefore SSB Pidie with its school-based management that gave the school an authority to design and also to institutionalize the peace education curriculum, the School-Based Conflict Management and 3NO programs. School-Based Conflict Management and 3NO program aimed to achieve the positive and peaceful condition. For collecting the data, the researcher had done an independent study in the field for one month to collect the data to know what is the peace education curriculum SSB Pidie has and how it is implemented and the last is what are the gaps between the curriculum and the implementation.
