Laporan Tugas Akhir ini menjelaskan tentang Pelaksanaan Alih Media Arsip Tekstual ke Elektronik di Badan Kepegawaian Negara Kantor Regional I Yogyakarta. Mengingat arsip mempunyai peran yang sangat penting salah satunya yaitu digunakan dalam pengambilan keputusan, untuk itu arsip perlu dijaga baik fisik maupun informasinya. Salah satu cara untuk menjaga agar fisik arsip maupun informasinya tetap utuh adalah dengan cara alih media atau digitalisasi. Digitalisasi yaitu suatu proses mengubah bentuk dari fisik atau analog, seperti catatan kertas, foto atau bentuk grafis menjadi representasi elektronik atau gambar yang dapat diakses dan disimpan secara elektronik. Oleh karena itu dengan adanya alih media maka dapat membantu preservasi arsip asli dan juga arsip dapat diakses kapan saja. Adapun tujuan dari penulisan Tugas Akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses alih media arsip tekstual ke dalam bentuk elektronik yang dilakukan oleh Badan Kepegawaian Negara Kantor Regional I Yogyakarta. Penyusunan laporan ini menggunakan tiga metode. Yang pertama adalah metode observasi partisipasi yaitu suatu proses pengamatan yang sekaligus penulis terlibat secara langsung dalam proses alih media arsip. Yang kedua metode wawancara yaitu penulis melakukan tanya jawab secara langsung kepada beberapa pegawai BKN Kanreg I Yogyakarta. Yang ketiga metode studi pustaka yaitu metode menggunakan bahan pustaka yang diperoleh dari buku atau sumber tertulis lainnya baik tercetak maupun elektronik. Metode – motode tersebut saling melengkapi satu sama lain yang akhirnya menghasilkan data dan informasi yang relevan untuk menyusun laporan tugas akhir ini. Kesimpulan utama dari laporan Tugas Akhir ini adalah pada dasarnya alih media arsip yang dilakukan oleh BKN Kanreg I Yogyakarta bertujuan untuk peningkatan akses pelayanan kepegawaian. Hanya saja untuk saat ini proses alih media arsip di BKN Kanreg I Yogyakarta masih dilakukan secara sederhana sehingga belum maksimal. Belum maksimalnya proses alih media arsip tersebut disebabkan karena keterbatasan sarana dan keterbatasan Sumber Daya Manusia.

This final report describes of The Implementation Of Records Media Transfer From Textual To Electronic Form in Badan Kepegawaian Negara Regional Office I Yogyakarta. Given records have a significant role such as in decision making, these records need to be well maintained both in terms of their physical conditions and information that they contain. One way to keep their physical conditions and information that they contain remain intact is through media transfer or digitizing. Digitizing refers to a process of informational transfer from paper based records to electronically stored records, without reducing the information as long as the new media used ensure that the new way of maintaining archives is more effective and efficient. Therefore, the presence of the media transfer can help maintain original records and make it possible to access them at any time. The purpose of the writing of this final assignment was to examine the process of records media transfer from textual into electronic forms conducted by Badan Kepegwaian Negara Regional Office I Yogyakarta. This report writing employed three methods. First, the method of participant observation, which was a process of observation where at the same time the author was directly involved in the process of records media transfer. Second, the method of interviews, where the author conducted question and answer sessions directly to some employees of Badan Kepegawaian Negara Regional Office I Yogyakarta. Third, the method of literature reviews, which was the method by employing library materials from books or other written sources both in print and electronically. Those methods completed one another which ultimately generated relevant data and information for the report writing of this final assignment. The main conclusion of this final assignment basically is that media transfer conducted by Badan Kepegawaian Negara Regional Office I Yogyakarta aimed at improving access to employment services. However, the current process of records media transfer from textual to electronic form in Badan Kepegawaian Negara Regional Office I Yogyakarta was still done a simple, making it have not reached its maximum. The process media transfer that had not reached its maximum was resulted from limited infrastructure and human resources.
