PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT TUJUH KLON TEH (Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze) PGL DENGAN PEMBERIAN BAHAN MENGANDUNG HORMON TUMBUH ALAMI

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan setek tujuh klon teh PGL dan mengetahui respon tujuh klon teh PGL terhadap aplikasi hormon tumbuh alami pada masa pembibitan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kebun teh PT Pagilaran, Batang, Jawa Tengah dari bulan November 2012 hingga Agustus 2013. Penelitian disusun menggunakan percobaan petak belah (Split Plot Design). Hormon tumbuh alami sebagai petak utama (main plot) yaitu air kelapa, urin sapi, ekstrak kecambah dan kontrol. Klon teh sebagai anak petak (sub plot) berupa PGL 3, PGL 4, PGL 10, PGL 11, PGL 12, PGL 15, PGL 17 dan TRI 2025 sebagai klon pembandingnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat interaksi antara pemberian hormon tumbuh alami dengan klon teh pada hampir semua parameter pengamatan. Klon PGL 4 memiliki pertumbuhan bibit yang sama baik dengan TRI 2025 dan lebih baik dari klon PGL lainnya. Pemberian hormon tumbuh alami air kelapa dengan konsentrasi 50%, ekstrak kecambah 25% dan urin sapi 50% tidak mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan bobot kering total, tinggi tanaman dan diameter batang pada bibit setek.

The research aimed to evaluate the growth of seven PGL tea clones cuttings and find out the responses of seven PGL tea clones growth with additional natural hormone in the nursery. Research carried out at tea plantation PT Pagilaran, Batang, Central Java from November 2012 to August 2013. The research was arranged in a Split Plots Design. The natural hormone as the main plot consisted of coconut water, cow urine, extract of greenpeal sprouts and control. Clone tea as the sub plot consisted of PGL 3, PGL 4, PGL 10, PGL 11, PGL 12, PGL 15, PGL 17 and TRI 2025 as control. Results of the research showed there was no interaction between natural hormone and tea clone in almost all parameters observated. PGL 4 cutting growth was as good as TRI 2025 and better than the other PGL clones. The natural hormone coconut water with the concentration 50%, extract of greenpeal sprouts 25% and 50% cow urine not able to increase growth of total dry weight, plant height and stem diameter of the cutting.
