REPRESENTASI DAN DAMPAK HALLYU PADA KEHIDUPAN MASYARAKAT KOREA DALAM DRAMA REPLY 1997 (응답하라 1997 ): Kajian Sosiologi Sastra

Skripsi ini meneliti mengenai representatif Hallyu dalam drama Reply 1997 (응답하라 1997). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah datadata dari 16 episode drama tersebut. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini adalah mengenai bentuk representasi Hallyu dan dampaknya yang terjadi di dalam masyarakat Korea, yang juga mempresentasikan fenomena dan dampak Hallyu yang terjadi di dunia saat ini. Drama Reply 1997 (응답하라 1997) melalui tokohtokohnya memberikan gambaran kepada penonton mengenai Hallyu yang terjadi di Korea Selatan dan di dunia pada saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian teori sastra untuk mencari hubungan antara drama, dengan realita sosial yang ada dalam masyarakat Korea Selatan pada tahun 1997-2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sociology of literature, yang pendekatannya dimulai dari lingkungan sosial untuk masuk kepada sastra. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Hallyu sangat berpengaruh dalam kehidupan masyarakat Korea, baik secara langsung maupun tidak. Melalui akting, dialog para tokoh, dan latar drama, drama Reply 1997 (응답하라 1997 ) mempresentasikan kesuksesan Hallyu membawa fenomena-fenomena baru di dalam kehidupan masyarakat Korea Selatan. Selain merepresentasi kesuksesan Hallyu, drama tersebut juga merupakan kritik terhadap industi budaya pop Korea Selatan yang merupakan perantara Hallyu itu sendiri. Kemudian, sama seperti halnya fenomena-fenomena lainnya, Hallyu juga tidak lepas dari dampak sosial yang dirasakan masyarakat Korea Selatan, baik positif maupun negatif. Dampak yang direpresentasikan dalam drama menyangkut kehidupan di dalam masyarakat Korea Selatan, baik dari segi individu, kelompok, hingga masyarakat. This thesis examines about the representative of Hallyu, which is happening in the world nowadays in the drama Reply 1997. The data which used in this study is obtained from the 16 episodes of the drama Reply 1997. The Issues that be discussed in this study is the representation and the effect of Hallyu in Korean society, which also happens in the world. This drama setting starts from the year 1997 until 2013. It tells about life of a fanatic fan of one of the Hallyu stars. This drama gives the audience an overview of the Hallyu that happens in South Korea and in the world at the present time. This study will use the Sociology of Literature Study. The Sosiology of literature in this thesis used to find a common thread between the drama and the social realities that exist in South Korean society in the year 1997-2013. This study uses Sociology of Literature methods. The results of this study indicate that the drama Reply 1997 represent of Hallyu success which brings new phenomena in the life of South Korean society. In the drama, not only the representation of South Korean society in general that is shown, but also the phenomena that happen in the South Korean pop culture industry, which is the intermediary of Hallyu itself. Moreover, just like some other phenomena, Hallyu also creates the social effect to the South Korean society, both positive and negative. The effect represented in the drama is related to the life of individuals, groups, and society in South Korea. The representation and the effect of Hallyu to the Korean society can be seen through the dialogues of the characters which are very interesting to observe further.
