Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penentu kesuksesan -)royek. Faktor-faktor ini mencakup aspek-aspek perilaku manusia. Studi ini merupakan hasil replikasi penelitian yang dilakukan oleh kolaborasi Pinto dan Covin serta Pinto dan Slevin. Faktor-faktor ini adalah misi proyek, dukungan manajemen atas, jadual, konsultasi klien, kemampuan teknis, penerimaan klien, komunikasi, monitoring dan pemberian umpan balik dan penyelesaian masalah. Kesembilan faktor tersebut bertindak sebagai independent variables. dan kesuksesan proyek dianggap sebagai dependent variable. Kesuksesan proyek dijelaskan ke dalam dua dimensi yaitu dimensi keefektifan dan efisiensi. Dimensi keefektifan dijelaskan melalui aspek kepuasan klien sedangkan dimensi efisiensi dijelaskan melalui dua aspek yaitu aspek tepat waktu dan anggaran. Dari penelitian terdahulu ditemukan bahwa beberapa variabel sebagai faktor penentu kesuksesan proyek hanya relevan untuk sejumlah subyek tertentu saja. Dalam hal ini, sebuah proyek terdiri dari anggota-anggota yang berupa manajer proyek dan konsultan. Mereka memiliki peranan yang tidak sama. Variabel-variabel misi proyek, konsultasi klien dan penerimaan klien sebagai independent variables hanya relevan untuk klien sedangkan dimensi keefektifan bertindak sebagai dependent variable. Variabel-variabel dukungan manajemen atas, jadual, kemampuan teknis, komunikasi, monitoring dan pemberian umpan balik dan penyelesaian masalah sebagai independent variables hanya relevan vituk manajer proyek sedangkan dimensi efisiensi bertindak sebagai dependent variable. Berkaitan dengan metodologi penelitian, responden yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi dua jenis yaitu klien dan manajer projek. Proyek-proyek yang dipilih adalah proyek-proyek konstruksi yang berada di Daerah lstimewa Yogyakarta. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi berganda. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa semua faktor penentu kesuksesan ,royek dengan dimensi keefektifan mempunyai pengaruh positif. Misi proyek, ,onsultasi klien dan penerimaan klien mempunyai hubungan positif terhadap sepuasan klien. Hanya beberapa faktor penentu kesuksesan proyek dengan iEnensi efisiensi mempunyai pengaruh positif. .jadual, kemampuan teknis dan omunikasi mempunyai hubungan positif terhadap ketepatan waktu dan biaya :,laksanaan proyek. Faktor dukungan manajemen atas, monitoring dan pemberian 4mpan balik serta penyelesaian masalah diketahui tidak mempunyai hubungan oositif terhadap ketepatan waktu dan biaya pelaksanaan proyek.

This study aims at evaluating the determinants of project success. The determinants of project success are the overall behavior of human. This study attempts to make a replica of Pinto and Slevin's concept of critical success factors of their research in 1987 and Pinto and Covin's research in 1989 with a modification. The critical issues of the behavioral side for project success are project mission, top management support, project schedule, client consultation, task, client acceptance, monitoring and feedback, communication and trouble shooting. The nine critical success factors act as the independent variables and the project success acts as the dependent variable. The project success is explained into two dimensions namely effectiveness and efficiency. The effectiveness dimension is measured with the client satisfaction and the efficiency dimension is measured with the on time and on budget aspects. The previous research shows that some critical success factors as the predictors of the project success are more relevant for a certain subject. In this case, a project consists of members such as clients, project managers and consultants. They have different roles. The critical success factors such as project mission, client consultation and client acceptance acting as the independent variables are relevant for clients while the effectiveness dimension acts as the dependent variable. The critical success factors such as top management support, schedule, the technical task, communication, monitoring and feedback and trouble shooting acting as the independent variables are more relevant for project managers while the efficiency dimension acts as the dependent variable. This study uses the multiple regression method. The selected respondents are client and project managers of construction projects in. Daerah Istitnewa Yogyakarta. The research result shows that all critical success factor as the determinants of project success with the effectiveness dimensions have a significant relations. Project mission, client consultation and client acceptance have a positive relation to the client satisfaction. Some of critical success factor as the determinants of project success with the efficiency dimension have a positive relation. Schedule, the technical task and communication have a positive relation to schedule. Top management support, monitoring and feedback and trouble shooting do have a positive relation to schedule.
