PERFORMANS INDUK DAN PERTUMBUHAN PRASAPIH SAPI PERANAKAN ONGOLE DAN SAPI SILANGAN SIMMENTAL – PERANAKAN ONGOLE DI KELOMPOK VILLAGE BREEDING CENTER DAN NON VILLAGE BREEDING CENTER DI DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA

2014 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu PeternakanPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui performans induk sapi Peranakan Ongole (PO) dan Simmental Peranakan Ongole (Simpo) dalam hal konsumsi pakan, body condition score (BCS), post partum estrus (PPE) dan pertumbuhan prasapih pedet di kelompok village breeding center (VBC) dibandingkan non village breeding center (NVBC). Penelitian dilakukan dari April sampai Desember 2012 di 6 kelompok VBC (Sumber Ayu, Andhini Rahayu, Ngudi Makmur I, Andhini Mulyo, Trimanunggal Lembusuro, Trihandini Rejo) dan 2 kelompok NVBC (Sedyo Makmur, Andhini). Materi yang digunakan adalah induk sapi PO dan Simpo di kelompok VBC sejumlah 22 ekor, 16 ekor dan di kelompok NVBC sejumlah 8 ekor, 10 ekor dari saat bunting tua sampai muncul PPE beserta pedetnya. Berat badan induk berkisar antara 260 kg sampai 380 kg dengan BCS 2 sampai 3 dari skala 5. Data yang diamati adalah konsumsi pakan, BCS dan PPE induk serta pertambahan berat badan harian (PBBH) pedet. Data konsumsi pakan, BCS dan PPE induk dianalisis dengan randomized complete block design (RCBD) dengan faktor lokasi dan bangsa sapi sebagai blok, sedangkan PBBH pedet dihitung dengan analisis kovariansi. Konsumsi pakan sapi PO dan Simpo dalam bentuk bahan kering (BK), protein kasar (PK) dan total digestibel nutrients (TDN) tidak berbeda. Body condition score induk sapi PO dan Simpo di kelompok VBC vs NVBC tidak berbeda dari saat beranak sampai muncul PPE dengan kisaran 2 sampai 2,8. Rata-rata PBBH pedet sapi PO dan Simpo dari lahir sampai umur tiga bulan tidak berbeda baik di kelompok VBC vs NVBC. Kemunculan PPE sapi PO dan Simpo tidak berbeda di kelompok VBC vs NVBC yaitu 105,42 ± 30,75 hari, 104 ± 24,46 hari vs 103,85 ± 17,70 hari, 110,57 ± 14,60 hari. Disimpulkan bahwa performans induk dan pertumbuhan prasapih pedet sapi PO dan Simpo tidak berbeda nyata baik di kelompok VBC maupun NVBC.
The research aims to determine cow performance of Ongole Grade (OG) and Simmental Ongole Crossbred Cattle (SOCC) in terms of feed consumption, body condition score (BCS), post partum estrus (PPE) and preweaning growth calf at village breeding center (VBC) compared non village breeding center (NVBC) OG. This research was done on April until December 2012 in 6 groups VBC (Sumber Ayu, Andhini Rahayu, Ngudi Makmur I, Andhini Mulyo, Trimanunggal Lembusuro, Trihandini Rejo) vs 2 groups NVBC (Sedyo Makmur, Andhini). The material used are OG and SOCC at VBC were 22 heads; 16 heads and at NVBC 8 heads; 10 heads, it’s observed since the last pregnant period until PPE with their calves. Cow weight ranged from 260 kg to 380 kg with BCS score 2 to 3 on a scale of 5. Data to be observed are the feed intake, BCS and PPE cow and average daily gain (ADG) calf. Feed intake, BCS and PPE analyzed by randomized complete block design (RCBD) with location and cow factor by block, whereas ADG calf was calculated by analysis of covariance. Feed intake of OG and SOCC in term of dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP) and total digestibel nutrients (TDN) is not different. There were not significant different at BCS of OG and SOCC at VBC vs NVBC from calving until PPE, the range BCS on a scale 2 to 2.8. There were not significant different ADG of OG and SOCC at VBC vs NVBC from calving until 3 months after calving. There were not significant different PPE of OG and SOCC at VBC vs VBC, it’s 105.42 ± 30.75 days, 104 ± 24,46 days vs 103.85 ± 17.70 days, 110.57 ± 14.60 days). It’s concluded that cow performance and preweaning growth of OG and SOCC were not significant different at VBC vs NVBC.
